● confusing day

Start from the beginning

After I read that, I gulped with wide eyes before averting my gaze towards Michael who raised his eyebrows questioningly and mouthed a simple 'what?' at me.

"Calum wanted me to talk to him. So, I guess you were right."

Michael chuckled. "Nice. Just tell him everything, no need to make up some white lies, y'know. Calum is an understanding guy and you're an ass, you guys are perfect for each other."

"Just shut up Michael," I snapped, yet still carrying a playful element in the tone of my voice. Michael snickered and I rolled my eyes.

"Make-up sex is always good," Michael said as a small smirk curled on the corner of his lips. "I heard that he is good in bed, and he could do it in so many positions."

"I'm going, I don't want to deal with your shit anymore," I said with an annoyed groan. Shifting my feet against the floor, I stood up and quickly stepped out from the library, not caring about Michael had threw a quick wave at me, shouting 'good luck, luke!' with a loud whisper that I was pretty sure he had earned a glare from some students at there.

I glanced down at my phone, grabbing it side by side as my fingers working on it perfectly without any typos. I replied to Calum's text with a slight fear that had built inside my veins before letting out a frustrated huff.

Luke: Yeah, Cal. On my way. I'll be quick.

As I made a process with my steps, my phone vibrated once again. I thought Calum wouldn't reply anymore, but I guess I was wrong.

My prince: You sounded that you know what is happening. So you better explain everything to me.

Luke: Yeah, i will.

Luke: I miss you.

Before I could digest anything, I feverishly deleted all the words that I hadn't sent it to him, fortunately. Quickly typing another words, I replaced 'i miss you' with a simple,

Luke: See you there.

After that, I didn't receive any messages which meant that the conversation had ended. I feverishly made my way home, not even caring about people I had bumped on. Few minutes passed, and I finally reached my house, and there he was.

Oh god.

Calum, with his usual nice sense of clothing, stood in front my house as his back pressed against the wall, his ankle pressed against the other one as his long legs dropped against the ground to support his weight. The strands of black color piled one against another nicely, his brown eyes locked at somewhere that I vaguely could catch.

My feet felt like it was going to collapse soon as my heart was drumming vigorously against my chest, sending some nervous vibrations throughout my body. I was scared, nervous and worried at the same time. These mixed feelings I held inside made me feel like a complete fool. Although part of that, was ninety five percent true. I would give out my goddamn pride to him. I'm a fool for liking him this much. Seriously.

"Calum," I said as I stepped closer towards him. Calum's head turned to face me, his mocha eyes glistening alongside with the street light which made them more bright like a caramel milk coffe.

"Okay. I'm only here for an explanation... as a friend," Calum murmured cautiously with a normal tone, yet it carried a weight of nervousness in between as his nails awkwardly scratched his neck.

I thought it was weird enough. Before, I already had an absurd imagination that he would be mad at me or mostly, disappointed at me. But, his expression didn't even show everything I had presumed before, it tended more like a curiosity, and a confused one. Not forgetting the way his eyes were looking at me, like I was something important at first, yet a disappointment at once after he sighed deeply, crossing his arms across against his chest with furrowed eyebrows.
