Chapter 21:

We finally reach the Capitol. Its been 4 days on the train and 1 day engaged, at least it was luxury. We go to the exact hotel we have stayed in twice before. It brings back the memories, the 11, the 12, the training, the horror, i didn't like it, i felt uncomfortable. "This brings back all the memories," Peeta says frowning. "I would've got somewhere else but hard to believe but this was the only room not booked out." Effie says as she walks out of the elevator her arm around Haymich, Haymichs arm around Effie. "We'll this brings back to many memories, my almost death, their almost death oh god." he says as he kisses Effie. We hear the elevator come up here again, "Wow this is where you stayed for both games, of god this is luxurious." Johanna says as she walks in she walks to one end of the lounge, runs her hand across the top of it and walks to the other end. "Yeah, it is, but i didn't take notice of that because all i could think of was 'IM GOING TO DIE'!" I start to tear up, Peeta picks me up and carries me into the room. "I know this is hard for you baby, we can get through this. I promise. Why don't we go and tell them all?" Peeta says. I fiddle with my engagment ring and nod. We walk out there, hand in hand, they all look at us, "Hey sorry about that guys," i say they all mumble. "So we have tomtell you guys some news, Peeta and i look at eachother and smile, "Oh for gods sake please dont tell me your pregnant." Haymich says, we all laugh and giggle and then it goes all quiet. "While we were in District 4, the night we stayed there, Peeta, took me to the beach, we layed there, watched the sunset, swam and then that night my life changed forever, my name isn't Katniss Everdeen, Its Katniss Mellark." As soon as i say that Effie screams gets up and starts to jump around, she comes up to me, she is crying. "I KNEW I WOULD LIVE TO SEE THE DAY," Effie yells. She kisses me, kisses Peeta ON THE CHEEK, and then goes back to Haymich. "Good job sweetheart, told ya he was a keeper." Haymich says as he gives me a hug, i start to cry. He tries to stop me. This is the happiest I've been in a long time and i can tell it is the best time of Peeta's life. "So i see you went along with your plan." Johanna says to Peeta. Effie has my hand examining the ring. "Plan?" I ask Peeta "Oh that was the reason we stopped in District 4 and so we could see Annie and Fin." He says i smile at him and rest my head on his shoulder. "This pearl Peeta, where did you get it, they are very rare around here?" Effie asks "where did i get it? Katnisses draw and where did she get it from? The 75th Annual Hunger Games, it has been through everything with her, death, horror ,happiness and now it will be with her hopefully for the rest of her life." Peeta says as he sits me on my lap and i fall asleep.
