Chapter 12:

As Peeta falls into his sleep i sat in the chair next to the bookshelf. I watched Peeta sleep for a while, he is so peaceful when he is asleep. I sometimes think to myself how a boy so sweet like that ends up going through all that we did, and thats when i heard the bang. As soon as i heard it i ran towards the sound, jumping through doorways and dodging tables and chairs until i finally reach the lounge room where i find Effie and Haymich making out. Effie must be on a lets let loose and have fun spree and as for Haymich he must be happy to have someone in his life. They stop and turn to me "oh sorry i heard a bang and, and i thought," "Oh, no that was just a glass everything's fine." Effie says as she turns back to Haymich. "Oh ok, sorry for interrupting i guess." I say as i walk back to the bedroom me and Peeta are staying in. As i walk into the room i notice Peeta is gone. "Peeta? Peeta?" I say as i walk into the room. I feel hands grab my waist and i jump. I swing around and hit them in the face, they fall to the floor and then i realise it was Peeta. "OH MY GOD PEETA, ARE YOU OK!" I say as i kneel down next to him. He sits up and rubs his head, "That was painful." He says as he looks at me funny. "You know ever since the arena i have had my senses sharpened, at the slightest sound I'm ready to attack I'm sorry i didn't mean to." I say as i sit in his lap. "Oh god your lucky i love you," Peeta says as he kisses me. I kiss him back and we sit there for a while my head tucked into his chest. "Wanna know something really disturbing i saw while you were asleep?" I say as i get up, i pass him my hand and help him up. He takes the offer and replies "Lay it on me, it cant be worse than me being hit in the face by The Katniss Everdeen." He says i hit him playfully in the arm,"oh its worse, i saw...Haymich, and Effie, making out!" I say i see his face go sour and he replies, "You for real, you weren't joking gross, but you know we could always you know, try that?" "Nice try Romeo." I say and then the train jolts and comes to an immediate stop i go flying into the wall and i see Peeta run towards me before the world shuts out.
