Chapter 22:

I wake in the bed. Last time i remember i was on Peetas lap. Peeta must have carried me in here. I look to my right to find that the bed is untucked, Peeta must have slept in this bed last night. I get up and hear singing, i never hear singing i cant tell where its from. I walk towards the door that leads to the living room and the sound gets distant, i walk to the window sounds even more distant, so i walk to the ensuite and i hear it, Peeta singing, i have never heard this before. His voice, its beautiful, like my fathers. "Your voice, it sounds like my fathers." I say he stops and says, "Oh god, this is embarrassing." Peeta says i hear the water stop and the shower door open. "Can i come in?" I ask "Yeah." He says. I walk into the bathroom and he is standing there with the towel wrapped around his waist. You could see his abs, the muscle tone oh god i could just die but i continue, "No need to be embarrassed by your voice its beautiful." I say "Not as good as yours." He says he walks to the bathroom sink smiling and gets his toothbrush. He puts toothpaste on the brush and starts brushing his teeth. "Im just gonna have a quick shower." I say to Peeta. His bright blue eyes light up, i start to giggle, like a little school girl, "Well that was embarrassing." I say as i take of my pyjama top. Peeta looks away, he isn't like normal guys, he is respectful. As much as he wants to see me naked, he respects the fact that I'm uncomfortable with it. I take off my pyjama pants and turn the tap on. I get in and i tilt my head towards the side. Peeta keeps looking over and quickly looking away, "Whats wrong with you, i dont care if you see me naked, remember were madly in love." I say mocking something he said in the first games, i shutter and remember today is the day, the day i face the arena again. My back slides down the tiled wall and I'm sitting in the floor i feel water running down my face, thankfully they will hide my tears. "Peeta, you have to swear you will not leave my side today, you have to swear." I say to him. You can tell I'm crying you can hear it in my voice. "I swear." He says as he opens the door, turns the water off and helps me out.
