"Miss Carter you're awake" Tia knelt besides her boss as she slowly gained her consciousness.
Daisy looked at her surrounding and saw she was in her office but on the floor.
"Tia what happened?"
"Oh you fainted" came Tias reply
"But how...Where's my boy? " Daisy asked worried
"Miss Carter don't worry, he went with Mr Brown to get water cause we ran out and I didn't include mineral water on the list of what your office needs-"
Before she could explain Christopher and Augustus entered, Chris carrying a packet of sour worms and Augustus carrying a bottle of water
"Drink" he slowly demanded and gave it to her. She hesitated but didn't look at him in the eyes
"Why did you take my son without asking me?"
"You're really asking me that question?"
Daisy said nothing but continued drinking her water
"How did-"
"I need-"
They said at the same time.
"Go first" Augustus offered
"How did you find me?" When she noticed they weren't the only ones in the office she asked Tia if she could put up the closed sign and take Chris for ice cream. She accepted and they left.
"How I found you isn't important and don't even tell me why you left. I already know why. Why didn't you tell me Daisy? Why?"
Daisy remained silent hoping he'd continue but he waited for an answer. She didn't have any
"Go to your wife Augustus." Daisy responded with no emotion. She felt nothing for him now all hopes she once had were shuttered when she found out about Amber.
"You never loved me, did you?" Augustus said it more as a statement than a question. Silence followed
"Is that boy my-"
"Why did you follow me in the first place, you're supposed to be happy. You went ahead and got married. You have a family August, you're not supposed to be hear so please just leave" Daisy said with tears in her eyes "I was fine without you"
"Daisy look at me" she didn't "if anything I'm the one who supposed to be hurt! You talked to me all because of some stupid dare just to prove a point. Come on Daisy that's the shallowest I've seen you go. And of all people Amber?-" he was upset now
"How did you know about the dare?"
"I'll tell you only if you answer a few questions"
She thought about it. She figured it was time to let the past remain in the past. She needed to move forward
"Okay" she sighed.
"Did any of this mean everything to you?"
"Yes " She wanted to say more but no words came out.
"Okay, did you love me?"
"I did" she would have said she still does, she thought about him every night
"Who's that boys father?"
"A man" she was hesitant
"Which man Daisy? What's his name"
Again she was quiet
"DAISY WHO'S THE BOYS FATHER!?"
He yelled at her, she was shocked and immediately she started to cry
"You are!"
She stood and left for the bathroom.
"Daisy open the door"
"No, go away"
"There's stuff I haven't told you" Augustus waited for her crying to stop
"I need a divorce attorney that's why I came to you. I can't live a lie anymore. There was nothing between Amber and I. Dad wanted a grandchild and I had to marry her. We never did anything Daisy I promise you and that child isn't even mine-"
She opened the door and he hugged her. She returned the hug and they talked about everything. Understanding why things happened the way they did. She'd agreed to help him with the divorce case on a condition that he'd see his son as often as possible.
His son...
Augustus was a father and when he found out he was happy after so long and the best part is he could see his son whenever he wanted to. He'd only wished that his father was here to see his grandchild but he understood that things happened for a reason. He knew his father was looking down at him and smiling.

"Congratulations, you're finally a single man" Daisy said over the phone. She was happy for a reason. She didn't know why but she was
"Yes I am, though I'll miss Clara. Though the judge did say I could get her over the weekend if and when I wanted to"
"That's awesome" .. Then came the awkward silence
"Hey Daisy?"
"Yeah"
"Thank you"
"You're welcome Augustus" Then there was another awkward silence
"Hey Daisy?"
"Yeah?"
"Nothing"
And she laughed. Oh how he missed that laugh so much, music to his ears and even though he couldn't see her laugh. He imagined it and he was grateful
"Hey Daisy?"
"Yeah" she answered still laughing.
"How about coffee sometime? " He hoped she wouldn't say no
"I'd love that. Just tell me when." She got excited "I have to make sure Chris isn't playing video games because he's got school tomorrow. Goodnight Augustus."
"Goodnight Daisy"

"Happy birthday my boy" Daisy said as she took Chris his birthday cake. Chocolate as he liked it. It said 'Happy 12th birthday Chris'
"What time is it" came his reply
"It's 8 in the morning. Now wake up and get cleaned up. Today's your day"
"Do I have to?" He asked covering his head with his blankets
"We'll go anywhere you want to" she said trying to convince him
"Will Augustus be there?"
"If you want him to" And with those words Chris jumped out of his beddings and went straight to the shower.

"Really Chris, the cinema is where you brought us?"
"I find it cool" Augustus said laughing and eating popcorn "This movie's good
"Yeah, high five August" Chris said lifting his hand to Augustus and Augustus returned it.
"Boys" was all Daisy said and continued watching the movie.

Afterwards they went to have lunch
"Mum I'm going to the bathroom"
"Why don't you let Augustus go with you?"
"No it's cool I'm a big guy" Chris said and winked at Augustus then left. She wondered what they were upto now.
Eversince the office scenario,  Augustus and Chris were close. It wasn't until 2 weeks later that Chris had found out about his dad. He was excited but said he'd have to get used to calling him dad.

Augustus and Daisy on the other hand would meet up either at his home or hers and went on a few dates here and there. They called it catching up on lost time. But deep down they both had feelings for each other. Feelings that never died

"Hey Daisy?" Augustus said walking closer to her
"Yeah"
"Have I ever told you I love you?"
"You may have mentioned it once" she recalled the night he proposed
"Well now I'm saying it again. I love you Daisy"
"I love you too Augustus"

And they kissed.
Christopher Blake came back from the bathroom with a satisfied smile and continued smiling at both of them.

Daisy was happy. She found home...
