It's Shadow, haunts confidently
Not a mere flicker, a lasting sensation
No real light, can burn it away
Shall it dwell forever, deep dark door
An open cage, no hinge or lock
Never to be shut, the frame's missing
Forever not to be returned, or rebuilt
Such a shameful place, helplessness
As Suns rays fade, failing confidence
Higher the moon rises, dread dwells
The clearer the sky, raising the stakes
Of a nothing, filling the forest
One more lap around, I can't make it
A decade from now, shaking shackles
A lamp dims, shading the meadow
My mind keeps casting, It's Shadow
