Lucas came home drunk and I don't want to take care of any other drunk person. He haves to meet his mom downstairs and I don't want to make the wrong impression. Need to sober him up really quick.
"Lucas drink some water"
"Okay" and he's laughs
He leans on me
"Lucas promise me...."
"Promise you... What?"
"I don't want to see you drunk"
"So you don't want to me to drink?"
"No I don't want you to drink no more"
He laughs "okay I promise but why are you so afraid of me drinking?"
"I don't like drinking because my parents are alcoholics, I went back to my house today and it was hard"
"Hey come here"
He hugs me and I lean on him. We hear someone opening the door.
"What are you doing Lucas?"
"Mom?"
"Yes your mom"
"Who is this girl?"
"Mom this is Maya?"
"Maya? What?"
"My name is Maya hart"
"Hart?"
"Lucas did you drink?"
"Yeah I did"
"Was it because of her"
"No"
"Then what was it?"
"With my friends"
"And what about your girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend"
"So what is she?"
"Nothing mom she's nothing to me"
I looked at Lucas in pain
"Good, good so far so good"
"Let's talk hunnie"
"Okay mom"
He just said I was nothing to him. Am I not his friend? I was in so hurt. So he came back from talking to his mom.
"Sorry about my mom"
"It's okay"
No it's not okay Maya you need to tell him
"Actually it's not okay. So what did you mean when you said I'm nothing to you"
"That's not what I meant"
"Am I not a friend to you?"
"No your not"
"Then why you invite me to stay with you"
"I don't know, I don't know what I was thinking"
"Okay if you don't want me here I will just leave then, here have your necklace"
I put the key necklace on the counter and left
"Wait! Maya?!"
I'm going back to home. There are people there that will want me to be there. So I arrive out my house and I see my mom and dad looking at me.
"Maya?!"
"Maya?"
I come home it's not like they never even had me. They were so happy and I don't understand. My dad was acting like he use to when I was a little girl.
"I'm so glad your home!"
They both give me hugs.
"Want dinner?"
"Yeah?"
"Where were you honey?"
"I was just at a friends house"
"Who is this friend?"
"It's no body I'm not hungry I'm going to sleep.
The room never changed but for some reason my parents did maybe if it's for the best. So the next morning I thought that I would be next to Lucas but sadly I wasn't. I get ready for school, and arrive at school. I see Lucas, I'm trying my best to ignore but he ignore me instead. A month has past and Everything at home starts going back to normal. I knew it wasn't going to stay long. Another day at school I see Riley
"Hey riles"
"Hey Maya!"
"Are you going to Texas?!"
"Texas? For what?"
"Well we are all going for spring break!"
"Oh no, I don't have money for Texas"
"What?! No you have to go!"
"I will tell Lucas"
"No don't I'm fine if I don't go"
"I can pay for you, and your attention"
It was josh
"Oh no that's fine"
"Just pay for her then josh"
"Okay I will pay for her"
No I don't want to go to Texas. He already bought my ticket I'm going to see Lucas I think that this is going to be awkward.
"We are going to Texas together!"
Riley hugged me
"So Maya are we going to share a room?"
"No she's going to be in a room with me"
"What you and farkle"
"Oh yeah right... Nevermind Maya you go with josh"
"Okay" I laugh
"We're going to have fun"
"so when are we going?"
"We are going tomorrow"
"Tomorrow!"
"Yeah it will be fun"
Im going home and I see Lucas I don't want to talk to him. And I hear someone call my name it was Lucas.
"Maya! Wait!"
I walk faster to the subway but he ran up to me.
"Maya!"
"What! Lucas"
"I'm sorry for what I said"
"Sorry isn't enough i have to go"
"Maya! No listen to me first!"
"What?! Lucas do you understand that if I don't go home now I'm going to get in trouble"
"Your still at that house?!"
"Well they wanted me there not like you"
"I want you here with me and muffin"
I hear on the intercom that it's the last stop
"Lucas I need to go"
"I will drop you off"
I walk to the subway
"Sorry Lucas"
Lucas jumps in the subway right before the doors close
"What are you doing?"
"Your not listening to me"
"What is it tell me now"
"I miss you Maya"
"What?"
I wouldn't hear him because their so many people in here.
"I miss you!"
"What?"
He holds the bar and comes closer to me
"I miss you, and I want.... I want to be with you but my mom can't know about it"
"Really?"
"I really like you Maya"
"I like you too Lucas"
He leaned in but the subway stopped and his mouth hits my head, we both laugh and when I looked to the side it was my mom with someone else... How could she do this?
