My name is Devyn Bristowe and I am a incoming freshmen at LBSU (long beach state university). Currently I am 19 years old, brunette/blonde, and majoring in the beauty industry of merchandising & marketing. Excitingly, this is my first time in California. I come from a city in Iowa called Davenport. My friends from back home consider me as the "mom" of our group which I don't really get since I'm not really "mom" material. But during sophomore year I went to a really dark place and stayed there for a while. I didn't really feel great about myself. Anxiety, depression, and my self-confidence took over me and I was alone, but when my friends resurfaced at the beginning of senior year. Just the topic of it gets me choked up but, we all really got close but now that we are separated I just have this heart break that I feel. I'm thinking that I might end up going back to my old ways sooner or later without them. Hopefully this new experience in the Golden State, will be a good change for me and I meet new people on the way.....
