Muffled voices and nervous taps bounce around you off of vinyl and wires line the floor at your feet.
You stand, eyes closed, breathing deep and heavy, just like you've been told to do.

The familiarity of the low light, fear and living, you notice as you wait with baited breath and tired muscles now that you have left the comfort of the bulb-lined mirrors and taken your place down-stage centre.]
The curtain opens. Fear is lost as you leave the remnants of your former self behind, and take on your new identity.
I have given my life to the bright lights and disillusion of being somebody that I am truly not.
