New Years (destiel)

Dean and Sam got there first to help charlie make pizza and pie. She had decided that this new years wouldn't be huge, just close friends. All in all there was about 15 of them.

At around 8:30pm everyone had arrived and the pizza had gone down a treat. Dean bought out the pie to the group and they tucked into that, everyone enjoyed it and complimented Dean on his skills. Everyone also noticed that when he came back in Dean sat down immediately next to Castiel.

As soon as Cas had came Dean had basically ran towards him.

When he had been complimented on the pie he nodded his thanks but when Cas made a pleased moan and told Dean it was good he blushed bright red.

After the food had gone down the group got up and Charlie put on he music. She had great taste and new exactly what to put on so that they'd all get up.

"Shut up and dance" was blasting through the speakers and like the rest of them dean and Cas were dancing. Closely. Neither really looked as if they were listening to the music, just using it as an excuse to be close to each other.

When Cas went to get another drink Sam jumped on Dean demanding he made a move before the year was out, in about an hour.

In the kitchen Kevin grabbed Cas and told him to just kiss Dean already as he obviously wanted it.

Both of them stumbled through an excuse before leaving the conversation in search of each other. They may go months without seeing each other but at parties they were practically glued to each others sides.

30 minutes to midnight
"So urm Cas," Dean started. When he realised Cas hadn't heard him over the music Dean breathed a sigh of relief and carried on dancing.

20 minutes to midnight
Cas touched Dean's arm, "Dean can we talk..." He looked up at the man's face to see he was looking over at Sam having a silent conversation. He breathed out a huff but a little smile played on his face at the fact that Dean was comfortable with Cas touching his arm.

10 minutes to go
They were slow dancing. Their arms wrapped around each other, Cas around Dean's neck, Dean around Castiel's waist. Neither said anything. It just kind of happened.

9 minutes to go
Cas looks up at Dean. It was ridiculous, he had tears in his eyes. He wanted him so bad but it felt so impossible.

8 minutes to go
Dean looked down at Cas, the smile on his lips lit up his face, his beautiful, beautiful face. He wanted to see it everyday.

7 minutes to go
Cas leaned into Dean and rested his head on his chest, listening to his heart beat.

6 minutes to go
Dean rested his head on Castiel's and breathed in the smell of his shampoo.

5 minutes to go
Cas pulled away and looked up, Dean looked down. Both of them showed everything they were thinking on their face. Both of them smiled faintly.

4 minutes to go
Dean pulled away his arms and Castiel's heart dropped. Dean then grabbed Cas's hand, gripped tight and dragged a stunned Cas into Charlie's little office.

The room was cozy and sweet and warm. The two smiled at each other, neither talking for a moment.

3 minutes to go
Cas gripped Dean's other hand and stepped closer.

2 minutes to go
The two swayed together listening to the faint music traveling through the walls.

1 minute to go
"I think I may love you." Cas mumbled into Dean's chest. "Me too Cas, maybe I love you too." They looked at each other and smiled. "Why did we wait so long." Cas chuckled. "Because you were a wuss." Dean laughed. "You too." Cas jabbed.

30 seconds to midnight.
"Can we kiss now?" Dean questioned shyly. "That is the first time I have ever known you to be shy Dean."

Cas leaned up and smashed his lips into Dean's. His hands ran into Dean's hair and held on. Dean grabbed Castiel's waist and pulled him closer.

"Happy new year." Cas pulled away to murmer. "Shut up and kiss me again Cas."

Charlie and Sam came looking for them five minutes later to wish them happy new year but quietly backed out of the room. To get Kevin.

The three stood by the door and gave them a round of applause.

Dean and Cas pulled away and blushed before trying to stutter some excuse, they were just laughed at before the three left the room.

Dean and Cas got back to kissing.
