My friend asked me once:
"Why don't you get a facebook?"
I responded:
"My parents say I'm not old enough."
Which was true, and I respect my parents decision.
My friend then proceed to ask:
"So when your old enough, you'll get a facebook, right?"
I thought not very long about it and replied:
"Maybe."
But what I thought later on was:
"No. I never want to get any type of social media, because it's bad enough that I feel so worthless around you people when I'm at school. I don't want that feeling to follow me home. That's the only place where my life has some meaning."
Of course, I would never say that out loud.
They would call me self-centered.
