Riley's POV:

I put on my crisp white shirt with my navy blue check skirt and my blue school tie, along with curling my hair and put on a light layer of natural make up. Today was my first day at James's High school and i was VERY nervous, i wanted to make a good impression on everyone especially James.

I hear knocks on my bedroom door and call out to see James standing there, in his long black pants with his blue shirt and white and blue tie. He looked really cute in his "formal uniform" as yesterday when i met him he was wearing his sports uniform.

"Mum said your bag should be packed with all the books and bits you need for the day, she's left already for work and the girl's go on the bus early so i'll bring you there." James told me as he stood at the end of the bed observing me.

I nod taking everything he just said in, "Okay, you drive yeah?" I ask him nervously as i slipped my diary and art book in my new blue school bag, the same as James's a long with my pencil case. Two of the only items i really love, yet keep very private.

He chuckled a little from the end of my bed, "Yeah riles i drive. Don't worry i'll only leave you somewhere if you annoy me. You should be fine for now," James said lightly chuckling again as he threw an apple and my lunch box and water bottle at me.

"That was a joke wasn't it?" I ask him even more nervous now due to my past as i put the lunch and water in my bag, ensuring all 6 zips are done up so nothing fall's out of my bag while making my way through the school.

"Yeah it was a joke relax, riles. You little nervous?" James asked me giving me a reassuring smile as we made our way down the stairs to the living room where James had cleaned up his math mess from last night.

I nod, "Thank you." i tell James as he opened and shut my door for me as he jumped into the front seat after putting both our backpacks in the boot of his truck.  I turn on some One Direction to keep my nerves down as James pulled out of the drive way.

"You haven't really told me anything about you, yanno?" James asked as glanced over at me as the car pulled up at a red light trying to make conversation with me who hasn't spoke a work since we got into the car.

I shrug my shoulders in response, "Well i love One Direction, i loved school too." I tell him quietly as perfect starts playing through the speakers causing me to sing, as James continued to drive lightly laughing at me.

"You're a really good singer," James comments just as we pull up at what i believe is his High School from what i can remember from the pamphlet Debra had sent when i lived back at home.

"Thanks," I blush a little as we get  out of the car and James carries my bag for me along with his as we meet up with his bunch of friends and he introduces me to them.

"Riley this is, Shane, Levi, Alex, Chloe, Michelle, and Cierra." James tells me as he points to each of them and we greet each other. "Guys this is Riley, she's staying with me for a bit." James tells them with a smile. I guess his use to it, having different people around a lot.

We're all having a nice conversation before school discussing our time tables and comparing them to see if any of them share classes with me when James's girlfriend whom i remember from last night comes storming over angry as she yanks on James arm, causing me to stand beside Michelle and Chloe a little intimidated by this girl.

"JAMES YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD PICK ME UP." Amanda yells angrily as she yanks at James arm who had tried to get her grip and calm her down.

I gulp nervously, knowing that was my fault. I'm the reason he is in trouble with his girlfriend which made me feel really bad.

"Well i wanted to make sure Riley got to school safely and show her around. I'll make it up to you though." James told his girlfriend with a shrug glancing over at me smiling.

The bell rang thankfully, and i am off to my first class English.
