"Do you think we tolerate this type of behaviour here? Do you Tiffany?" Mr Johnson barked. His deep voice echoed the room. He was the schools headmaster.
I closed my eyes as a new wave of spit hit my face.
Gross.
Now you're probably wondering why I was in this position? And I'm obviously about to tell you.
"Done!" Jennifer Trevel squealed with her thick cockney accent as she wrapped a towel around my head. I couldn't help the grin spread on my face.
I'd decided that I needed a new hair colour, and being the trend setter I am, I settled with dark red. Though I wasn't quite happy knowing Jennifer would be the one to dye my hair, she's a bit of a bimbo. She's very petite, with blonde hair and blue eyes. But hey, she's my best friend and I gave her clear instructions, which even a 7 year old could follow. Meaning a 16 year old definitely could.
"Great! I texted everyone to meet in the common room at 5 o'clock so we can all see the outcome of my hair at the same time, which I'm sure will be marvellous," I smiled. I'd previously had blonde/brown hair, but that had gotten boring. I like to stand out and having red hair like Rihanna would definitely do that.
I'd been going to London's Boarding School for the Talented for 5 years, studying drama and music. As soon as I arrived I had gotten so much attention, probably because of my drop dead good looks; kidding. I don't think I'm very pretty, but others beg to differ. Oh well, I didn't mind, who doesn't love attention?
"C'mon Tiffany!" Jennifer shouted as I snapped out of my daydreams. "You've been standing there for like 5 minutes doing nothing... Everyone's waiting, its 5:01, and you know you've got to be punctual!" I rolled my eyes, being a couple of minutes late wouldn't hurt anyone.
She grabbed onto my hand and started tugging me out of the dorm, and down the corridor. I quickly held onto the towel on my head before it fell off.
We arrived at the common room five minutes later. Most people were talking, watching football on the 50inch Plasma or playing table tennis and pool.
Jennifer loudly cleared her throat and silence filled the room.
"Are you guys ready to see Tiffany's new hair!?" she screamed. There was a chorus of 'yes' and 'of course' from the crowd of teens and when everything went silent I did however hear someone say no. Heidi Simmons, the baby prostitute, walked out of the crowd to stand in front of me. She was dark skinned and curvy, with very long hair which clearly wasn't real. She was wearing a yellow crop top, with a very short denim skirt.
"What makes you so special, that you'd think we'd all be interested in seeing your new hair style?" she sneered.
"She's fit!' someone shouted and several people agreed. I blushed.
"Well then, let's see this amazing creation!" she said, and I'm sure everyone caught onto the sarcasm.
Before I had time to react, she quickly pulled the towel off my head. There was a sudden gasp from everyone in the room. Heidi's expression turned into one of pure shock and I couldn't help the smug smile appear on my face.
"Does it look that good?" I asked curiously the smile growing wider on my face.
"Well it definitely came out much worse than I imagined..." Heidi muttered. My smile quickly turned into a frown, wondering what she could possibly mean by that.
I turned to Jennifer, surprised by the mortified expression on her face.
"Is it bad?" I whispered as panic began to rise in me."I'm not bald am I?..." She nodded then shook her head. Well then, if I wasn't bald, what could possibly be the problem? I turned to look at everyone else, and they all looked just as stunned.
