Finding my own way

Chapter 1

Robin's P.O.V
I rush to get away. The more I back up, the more I push myself into a tight space.
"I'm gonna say it one more time... Who are you?" He asks as he stares me down.

Should I tell the truth? I think to myself. You should tell the truth Jack doesn't take kindly to lying...

  It was a feminine voice. I look at girl and stammer out  robin. The supposed Jack looks at me with a curious and uncertain look.

"The only people who come to see us are people looking for a fight or help. So which are you?" I look at the girl asking for help and she looked at me as if looking for the answer to that question. I sigh and stand up. I think my answer out carefully the decide to talk, "I didn't know anybody lived here. I'm sorry and I'll got and find an another place to hide for a night." I gather myself but before I can leave the youngest of them stops me.

"Why are you hiding? By the way my name is Noah." He gives me the corky smile. Before I could answer Jack pushed Noah behind himself.

   "We ran outside to see the forest reanimating itself. Knowing it would come back to us, we prepared for battle and left. If I may reiterate, why are you here?"

    I sigh heavily, "I ran away from home. If you excuse me, I'm going to find another hiding spot."

   "Wait! Don't leave...We may be able to help you." The girl finally stepped forward to talk. " I saw what you are capable of. Also we are leaving this town tomorrow, maybe you can tag along." Jack looked at the girl with a sour frown. To match his frown, she stuck her tongue at him.

   With a slight huff, he nods his head to say it was okay. "The name's Jack. It's nice to meet you robin..." With that in mind, he goes and sits by the river outside.

   "I'm really excited to have another girl in our 'rag-tag band of misfits'." She emphasized the rag tag. "My name is Nicole. It's great to talk to a girl. Just being around Jack and Noah is exhausting, but with you there we will share the load." She said with a light smile on her face. I know I can trust Nicole. She just has that kind of contagious personality, she just makes me feel like smiling. Noah walks over to me and hold out a hand. I take it hesitantly. We walk outside and we start to walk upstream. We stop at a beautiful waterfall. As the water rushes down the jagged rocks, a beautiful rainbow danced across the sun light. I'm in awe of the smallest detail. Before I can say anything, Noah looks at me with serious eyes. His lips were slightly parted as if trying to tell me something.

"Is the something you need to tell me?" As I'm asking him, I lead him to a rock so he can sit down.

"Before you can travel with us you need to know why we are out here... But I just don't know where to start." His eyes soften at the thought of their past. "Well, I might just start from where I found Nicole and Jack."
