Ahsoka's POV
I have been watching Kaci's behavior. She barely eats and sleeps, she won't even pick up her lightsaber, and she's not focused in her trainings.
I encountered her in the corridor this morning, but she won't talk to me or Commander Sato. Right now I'm trying to find her to talk to her.
Kaci's POV
I was in my assigned cabin that I have all to myself, actually it gets a little lonely. At night I usually have someone to hold me and help when it storms. Now I have no one who understands me.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. I stood. "Who is it?"
"Ahsoka."
I opened the door. "What?"
"I need to talk to you."
"I'm fine. Just leave me alone."
"Kaci, I know you're not okay. Can you just tell what's wrong? Can you talk to my like used to talk to Kanan?"
"How would you know how I talked to Kanan?"
"I've been communicating with him. I've been asking him about your behavior on the Ghost. Asking him how I can help you."
"I don't need or want help."
"You may not want it, but you do need it. Kanan has told me that you behavior is completely off. Just talk to me, please."
Ahsoka walked past me and sat on my bunk. She looked around the room. When she saw my lightsaber necklace hanging on the wall, she pulled it off the wall. She was admiring it. I used the force to rip it out of her hands and bring it towards me. "Don't touch that!"
"I like it. Where'd you get it?"
I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. The tears fell over the rim of my eyelids, and they streamed down my cheeks. Ahsoka stood and walked towards me. She wrapped me up into a much needed hug.
I sobbed aloud. "I miss him so much."
"I have an idea."
We walked to an empty room with a large control panel, and Ahsoka hit a button and Kanan appeared in holographic form. "KANAN!" I practically screamed his name. "Is Ezra there?"
"Oh, my gosh! Kaci! We all miss you back here on the Ghost."
"Yeah I get it. Is Ezra there?"
"No, I'm sorry he's on a supply run with Zeb. Sorry." Kanan turned away from the screen. "Hey guys Kaci's on the holocom!"
I heard a girl in the background shriek, "Really?!"
Sabine suddenly appeared. "Kaci, hey!"
"Hey." I waved slightly.
"Are you okay? You seem a little down."
"I'm okay. I gotta go."
Ahsoka's POV
Kaci left, and when she did she left the necklace from Ezra on the control panel. I picked it up and carried it with me to her cabin. When I got there she wasn't there, so I entered uninvited. I left it on her pillow.
Kaci's POV
I walked to the mess hall where the only acquaintance I had made so far helped out. Most of the work was done by droids, but a few people worked there. The girl I met handed out trays for people to put their food on.
I walked up to her. "Hey, Kaci! How you been?"
I just shrugged. "How are you, Rea?"
"I'm great! Livin' the life!"
"That's good. Can you sneak me a small slice of bread?"
"It's against the rules for me to give you food not included in your rations."
"Well I haven't eaten for two days."
"I'm not aloud to hand out anything other than a full ration, but let me see what I can do."
She left to the back, and returned moments later with a small bag. I took it from her. "Thanks. I'll see you in two days."
"You really should eat at least one ration a day."
"I know. See ya."
"See you later."
I made it back to my cabin to find my necklace on my pillow. I sat down and opened the small bag. Inside there was two slices of bread and some fruit slices. I wasn't sure of what kind of fruit it was.
I ate the fruit and stored the bread in the bag I brought with me. I grab the bag, and looked inside. I don't think Ezra knows, but I took the orange sweatshirt he let me borrow one time.
I took off my jacket and put on the sweatshirt. Now I'm ready.
