Hello my name is Faith and I'm a seventeen year old girl who was a Junior in high-school. I want to tell you what happened to this town, what happened when these alien like creatures took over the country, took my loved ones away, how it happened...

Finally the last day of school, I just can't wait to jump out my desk and run out of this dump! Me and my friend Derek planned out our whole summer, which if I say so myself is pretty epic.

Derek was only a year older then me (He got held back in first grade were I meet him), he was always taller then me, and had pale skin that looked smooth. He had such bright blue eye's that  held emotion, the thing I don't understand about him, which I think lead to our long bonding friendship.

I looked across the room to only see him looking at me with a goofy smile, his knee bobbing up and down impatient for the bell to ring. I didn't blame him, I was exactly the same. I was practically on the edge of my seat and there was only a little bit of me in the chair.

I look at the clock and there's only a minute left of school. I quickly grab my books and stuff them into my backpack before throwing it over my shoulder. The teacher had glanced over at me while doing this and stopped the lecture.

"Miss. Hutchinson, why are you packing bags so early?" Mr. Ray ask in a stern voice.

One of my favorite teachers but if you pack up something early while he was in a middle of a lecture, hell will unleash. I fidget a little considering I've never been caught by him doing this.

"N-No reason s-" I was cut of by him slapping a ruler onto my desk.

Why do I sit in front row?

The whole class jumps in their seats when they hear the ruler make contact with the desk. I gasp and look up at him, Mr.Ray having a humors grin and he removes the ruler of my desk. My eyes looking down at the ruler as he removed it, never taking my eyes off of it.

"I was just joking kid, have a great summer!" He yells just as the bell rings.

Everyone leaps from there seats and exit the class quickly, I was shoved out the room.

Asshole's...

The hallway was filled with students, I can see paper be thrown up in the air and a few journal's. I dodge them while Derek was right behind me. From time to time he would curse from someone trying to trip him or a journal hitting his back.

We soon make our way down the hallway and I can smell the summer breeze with warmth going against my skin, ah summer... what I waited for. No more exams, no more test, no more homework, and that were the best part.

I hug Derek bye while playing with some of his dirty blond hair and run to my bus. I walk up the steps and greet my bus driver. We called her Mrs. Kim and she was very kind. She was in her mid thirty's and had blue eyes just like Derek. Her hair always hanging down to her waist, her smile showing off her natural freckles. Mrs. Kim always wore sporty cloths, bright, Nike shit, you know?

I always wanted long hair like hers, mine was to the middle of my back. I sit down in the first seat and set my bag on my lap making some room for my friend. For the time being, I grabbed my iPod and my earplugs to listen to some of my music.

After one song or two Kathie, my friend, finally boarded the bus and plopped beside me. Kathie pulls my earplug out of my right ear and screams a 'Hello' into my ear. I look over in annoyance to see her jumping up and down onto the seat.

Kathie was more in the 90's then in the present. She had cute dresses that had flowers all over them, she always wore these black slippers which was chipped on the top but she didn't seem to care.
