I run up ahead a little and scan the landscape before me.
"Legolas! What do your elf eyes see?" Aragorn asks
"The Uruks turn Northeast. They are taking the hobbits and Lyra to Isengard!" I call almost growling. He can't have my Lyra, not while I still live.
"Saruman." Aragorn says and we take off running again.
"Keep breathing, that's the key! Breathe! Hooh!" Gimli says
"They run as if the very whips of their masters were behind them." I say

The Uruk-hai and orcs stop at nightfall.
"We ain't goin' no further 'till we've had a breather!" An uruk says
"Get a fire going!" another says
Pippin crawls towards Merry and I.
"Merry! Merry!" Pip says
"I think we might have made a mistake, leaving the Shire, Pippin." Merry says
As the orcs chop at the trees, low groans and rumbles come from the forest.
"What's making that noise?" Pippin asks
"It's the trees." Merry says
"What?" Pippin and I ask shocked
"You remember the Old Forest? On the borders of Buckland? Folks used to say that there was something in the water that made the trees grow tall, and come alive." Merry says
"Alive?" Pip asks
"Trees that could whisper, talk to each other. Even move."
"I'm starving. We ain't had nothing but maggoty bread for three stinking days!" an uruk says
"Yeah! Why can't we have some meat?" An orc says
The orc rests his eyes on the hobbits and I.
"What about them? They're fresh!" He asks
"They are not for eating!" The leader uruk says
"What about their legs? They don't need those. Ooh! They look tasty!" the orc says, I growl lowly at him.
"Get back, scum! The prisoners go to Saruman. Alive and unspoiled."the leader says
"Alive? Why alive? Do they give good sport?" the orc asks
"They have something. An Elvish weapon. The master wants it for the war.The female I don't know but I figure it's important" The leader says
I know why Saruman would want me to finish the work that was begun so many years ago, to officially end my people.
"They think we have the Ring." Pippin says
"Shhh! As soon as they find out we don't, we're dead." Merry says to him
"Just a mouthful. A bit off the flank." An orc says
Uglúk cuts off Snaga's head.
"Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!" the leader says
The Uruk-hai pile on the dead orc.
