--بِسم الله الرحمن الرحيم--

--( In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful)--

بِسْمِ اللهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَأَخِرَهُ-

Bismillahi awwalahu wa' aakhirahu-

"In the name of Allah in the beginning and end." [Mishkat]

By not reciting Bismillah, Satan has an opportunity of partake in the food.

Above where it refers to saying bismillah so Satan does not partake in food, doesn't exactly have to be bismillah rather the supplication before eating. So if one forgets to recite that at the beginning then you can recite this supplication in the middle which will count as well.
