Hiding in Plain Sight (Slowly Updating)

Turned Upside Down

      I'm getting frustrated now, I can't find a solution.  This has never happened before.  "Gentlemen everyone sit at the table calmly.  We need to discuss this now."  Surprisingly no one even pays attention to me.  That's never happened before either.  I have never lost control of my team before this.

      I walk to Kota stepping between him and Nathan.  I grab his hand that holds his phone and bring it down to get his attention.  His head shoots up to look me in the eye. "Kota can you please get everyone to sit calmly at the table so we can discuss this rationally. "  I think the fact I called him Kota has thrown him off.  "Mr. Lee chaos is all around us you need to get the boys calmly at the table so I can analyze everything."  That made everything click into place in his mind. I hoped he caught on to the calmly that I kept emphasizing.

     "Everyone needs to calmly sit at the table so we can calmly discuss this."  Kota stressed calmly each time he said it.  I watched as everyone stopped what they were doing and made their way to the table except Victor who hasn't regained conscious yet. 

     "Sean can you please rouse Victor so he can be included in this."  Sean got up from his seat walked to Victor and a few seconds later helped Victor back to the table.

    I gave Kota a look telling him what I wanted.  Kota read me perfectly.  "Okay everyone is going to sit here until Mr Blackbourne's finished talking.  No one is to comment unless he asks you to, gives you permission  or he states he is finished talking.  If anyone actually breaks from this will have hours with both him and me is that understood."  I watched as 7 heads nodded in agreement.  I'm glad now that we worked on his control as I was not subjected to his compulsion. 

     I walked to the head of the table to sit down.  I currently had everyone's attention as I  took in their state of mind.  This girl is going to have to be discussed before I planned or we are going to have a potential family breaking situation.  I can sense the unease.  I admitted this situation has me confused, that with the current information I was unable to find an amiable solution.  Every set of eyes looking at me widened at that declaration.  I'm glad Kota made sure to put the compulsion to let me finish or right now the room would be quite loud and chaotic right now.  Kota raised his hand.  "Yes Mr Lee?"

     "What do you suggest we do so you can sort out everything?"  Thankfully Kota is back to his normal logical self.
"I was thinking someone should watch and try to make contact.  Actually you are the logical person for this you can compel truthful answers even if she doesn't want to share them.  I want to know more like when they moved, who the they are, what they were doing at the Chinese restaurant and any other questions you think could help me assess situation adequately."

    "Yes sir, of course. Are you finished now?"  I looked at him and smiled at his craftiness.  He arranged it where if I were to choose I could free everyone from their compulsion or I could make more stipulations to it.

    "Actually no, I believe it would be a wise decision to have only you make the initial contact.  No one else can try to talk to her until we can have another family meeting tomorrow night.  You have today to make contact.  Is everyone in agreement with me?  You can also nod or shake your heads it does not have to be an unanimous vote."

     I looked at each of my family in turn to get their vote but Luke had his hand raised.  Since this all started he has been acting strangely so I hope I'm doing the right thing as I give him permission to speak.  "If we go along with this and you get enough info to decide what to do is there still a chance we can all have contact with her even if it's as friends?"  I'm shocked at the maturity of this question for a moment.  "Yes, if we can get the right information and I am certain that she is not a threat. Once that is determined we all can have whatever type of relationship she would like with each of us that is interested."

     Instantly every head around the table regardless of what they decided before that question was asked are all energetically nodding their heads.  "Okay since that is decided, I believe that concludes the meeting what is everyone's sleeping arrangements.  Is everyone going home or staying here?"  Like I needed to ask. 

     Kota says he's going home so his mom and sister weren't alone, Victor asked if he can stay with him.  The rest of the boys minus Sean and I are staying at Nathan's.  Sean asks as we go out the door if he can stay with me at my house since it was closer.  No one wanted to be far from her.  She was either going to tear us apart or be the glue that holds us together.  I just hoped it was the glue.

*****  I'm  sorry if this sucks.  My mind is already writing the next update so hopefully this one didn't suffer too much because of it.  Please let me know what you think.
