the introduction
it was pretty awkward at first. i didn't know him like my best friend did. every time we hung out, it seemed like he only had eyes for her. they would always whisper things to each other and he'd always pull her aside to tell her something. we got comfortable with each other though and we finally became an invincible trio. as time passed, i teased my best friend about him.
"so do you have a crush on chris?"
"what are you talking about?"
"oh come on it's so obvious you like him. like, like like him. and he like likes you back."
"mary, you're crazy if you can't see he like likes you already."
"oh shut up. i would never like like him, he's so annoying. besides, i see you guys. you're perfect for each other. and you've known him longer."
"you'll see, mary."
