Ch. 12 Answers

Hello everyone. Sorry it took me soooooo long to update. I have had horrible writers block and just haven't been in the mood to write. I'm sorry to the people out there that have actually wanted an update and have read since the beginning. Thanks for reading! It means a lot! I cant believe I have over 100 reads! :D Anyway, here you are. Chapter 12!

I woke up around 11am the next morning. Way to late for me to go into school. I searched the house for Natalie, but no luck. I went back up to my room to find my phone that I threw last night. Right as I picked it up the phone starting to ring. Jerry. It was his lunch break and had been trying to call me for a half an hour. I sat on my bed and debated on whether on not to call him or not.

About 10 minutes later I decided not to. I put my phone in my pocket and went down stairs into the kitchen. Since I was still at Mary's because my mom wasn't going to be home for another 3 weeks I figured I should go get some groceries.

I got a quick shower and locked the door behind me as I walked out to my car. I went into town and went straight to Wal-Mart. With my moms credit card in hand I bought groceries to hold me over for a few weeks. I ran into a few people I knew and said a quick hello. By the time I was finished it was 3pm. School had been out for a half hour and I figured I should hurry and get back to Mary's before I see someone from school. As I checked out I pulled out my phone to check it. 7 missed calls from Jerry. I went into my contacts and called Natalie.

"hey." I said putting the groceries into my trunk.

"hey, sleep in I see. I figured it would be best if you just didn't go and got some sleep." Natalie said and I heard the door slam behind her. She must be at her house I thought.

"Thanks. I'm leaving Wal Mart now. Would you like to come over to Mary's tonight? She wont be home for another week and I don't think she will care. We could go get ice cream or something." I huffed as I jumped into my car and started it.

"Sure, that sounds fun. I will be over around 6pm. See ya latter. Love ya." Natalie said.

"Great! Love ya too!" I said hanging up my phone and pulled out of my parking spot.

When I got home I noticed that the door was open. Great I thought. Someone broke into Mary's house. Shit! My guitars! I ran into the house not worried about the dangers. When I got to the living room the tv was on. Strange I don't remember leaving it on. As I turned the corner I saw who had turned on the tv. It was Jerry. I turned around and ran as fast as I could out of the house. But before I could get to the door he stepped infront of me. Causing me to run straight into his chest.

"Damn it Jerry! Let me go! I don't want anything to do with you!" I screamed as I tried to free myself from his embrace, but he was too strong.

"Please, let me explain. I wanted to tell you, but I  jus..." he calmly replied before I interrupted. 

"Yeah, yeah. I wanted to tell you, but I was afraid you wouldn't want me. Or you would call the cops on me. Not the first time I heard that one Jerry" I spitted threw my teeth making him hold me tighter.

"No. Iris. Listen to me. The time wasn't right. I was going to tell you, I swear! But that doesn't matter. What matters is that I love you! I should have never kept a secret big or small from you. I can love. Just because I'm a vampire doesn't mean that I cant love. Because I love you. If you believe anything I say let it be this. I love you Iris. With all my heart. You are my world and I would do anything for you." he huffed trying desperately to keep me close to him.

By now I was rapped up into his arms in a hug. I wasn't sure at first, but after a few seconds I realized that Jerry was crying. My 33 year old vampire, teacher was crying. I couldn't help but join him. I to loved him. But it would take a long time for me to forgive him. There were still a few questions I had left though.

"Jerry." I said looking up to his handsome, swollen brown eyes. " I want nothing more than to be with you, but you have to tell me everything. About the man, and you. I need answers."

He simply nodded his head and scooped me up bridal style. Every time I came into contact with him electricity went threw my body. In a way I enjoyed it. The feeling made me complete, like nothing could hurt me.

Jerry carried me up to my bedroom and laid my gently down onto the bed. He then laid down right beside me and held my hand in his.

"Iris, that man you saw in the video was a bad man. He was a murder. He had just killed his wife and four kids. How do I know this? I read his thoughts and I knew. I don't EVER feed on someone unless they are someone who has committed a horrible crime. I never feed on innocent people. The world was better off without him. And as of me not telling you myself, I am truly sorry. I was just waiting for the right time. I didn't want to scare you. Its kind of a big deal and all." he slowly explained and I wiped his tears from his face.

"Jerry. I had no idea. I should have allowed you to explain. I'm sorry too." I said rolling over so I sat on top of him. I leaned down and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. Shocks went threw my body and I missed the way his lips felt on mine. He then picked me up and carried me to the kitchen where he prepared a small dinner for me.

" You do know that my legs work and I can walk, right?" I joked as he sat me down on the counter.

"Of course, but where is the fun it that. I wanna carry you. I want to show you how sexy I am. With my strength and beautiful body." he joked back knowing that he was my eye candy.

"Haha, very funny. Get your sexy ass cooking before you starve me to death. All the groceries are in the car still. You will have to get them." I replied quickly trying hard not to look him up and down like I wanted to.

He smiled sweetly at me and ran back and forth from the car twice faster than I have ever seen anyone run. His speed was amazing, but that didn't matter to me. I would love him even if he wasn't a vampire. Which then reminded me.

"Hey Jer, what other things can you do?" I asked as he put the groceries away quickly and started to make dinner.

"Well, its nothing like vampire movies and books today. I have lived a long time to acquire all the abilities I have now. As of right now I can read minds, hypnotize anyone to do anything I say, I have super fast speed and the strength of one hundred men. My senses are better than anyone who has lived. I can hear up to a mile away and see better than the human eye, even in the dark. But, I do not sparkle or feed on animals. As much as I would like to think their..blood does not quench a thirst of a vampire. Anything else sweetheart?" he smiled at me as if he had planed this conversation for weeks.

"Are there anymore like you?" I asked now completely interested with everything he had to say.

"Yes. Not around here though. We all spread out into certain areas so we don't become suspicious. My mom and father are in Italy along with my sister. My fathers name is Tom and my mothers name is Rose. I moved here about 20 years ago and started to teach. I loved it from the start." he said with passion in his eyes. I knew he meant every word he said to me.

"Jerry, I love you." I said softly. He put down his spatula he was using to make me chocolate chips pancakes (may fav) and came over to me. He rapped his arms around me and kissed my lips ever so gently.

"I love you too Iris Carter. More than you will ever know." he whispered softly in my ear and he placed soft kisses on my neck making jolts of electricity travel all threw my body. His lips met mine again and they moved in sync with mine. We must have lost track of time because the next thing I knew the fire alarm was going off and Jerry was trying to put out my burnt pancakes.

He chuckled softly as he threw both of my pancakes away. "Maybe next time we wait until after dinner."

I nodded my head in agreement and he continued to make me new pancakes.
