Carter was practically squealing as she ran to her room, trying to intercept relatives she didn't even know the name of. When she finally got there, she was met with two unwelcome guests-her grandparents.

"Why aren't you with the family?" Her grandma asked, raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms. It almost made her laugh, stern was funny on her.

"Why aren't you?" Carter countered in an accusing tone, clutching her phone to her chest. The old woman just shrugged, but didn't move. "So, are you going to leave my room?"

After about seven minutes of fighting with her grandparents she gave up, flopping onto her bean bag and face timing Kiam anyways. Before she could even utter a greeting, she was interrupted by the old couple.

"Is that Scaria on the phone?"

"No, it's Kiam, obviously."

"How do you know?"

"Because she's facetiming the little one. Get your shit together Deborah."

"You don't have to be rude about it-"

"Bye, you guys." Carter spoke up, gaining their attention. She gave them a short wave, but they didn't budge. Dropping the phone for a brief moment she let out a long sigh, getting up from the bed. "Alright, shoo."

Five minutes and one bribery later, she was back in business-only Kat wasn't. It took everything in Carter's body not to shriek, taking in the way KAT was nestled in the little Dunbar's neck sleeping soundly.

But what hit he right in the feels was the way he was looking at her, and it was like full on Disney magic. Biting down on her lip she took a screenshot, tearing Liam's attention away from the sleeping girl.

"What are you doing?"

"You'll thank me later." Carter grinned, not letting him object before ending the call.
