I bit my nails and dialled the phone number of Joseph

Calling Joseph

{ Nadz? }

"Alam mo ba kung nasaan si James?"

{ No why? }

"Hindi ko siya ma contact"

{ What? He just called me 3 minutes ago }

My fist turn into a tight knot and clench my jaw

"Can you do a favor for me?"

{ Yeah sure } I sigh and finger comb my hair

"Ask James kung nasan siya and text me if he gave you his answer and please don't tell him that I was the one who told you to ask him"

{ You really love him huh } He said , I sigh and made a smile

"Yes , yes I do"

He didn't answer for a moment and that made me worried

"Joseph?"

{ I'm here , I'll just text you kung nakuha ko na yung mga detalye }

"Okay"

{ Okay }

"Bye" I chuckled and ended the call. I sigh and leaned my head on the sofa while closing my eyes

I took a deep breath and covered my face with my hands. James and I, we've been acquainted for 10 months and a couple for 1 month.

Call me the easy to get girl I don't care, I just can't ignore the feelings that are building inside of me and fuck he is my first love, first kiss, first boyfriend

Yassi on the other hand was my best friend since the years before my parents died. She was their when I had my first period, my graduation in elementary and high school. She was their at my birthdays, she will even sneak out of their house and stayed at mine for Christmas and New Years

But curiosity build inside of me when I saw her the day of our first class in College. She change, her long hair became short, sometimes her jokes hurts even tho sarcasm is valid on her tone

It seems like she change, the one shy, sweet and bubbly girl turn into a talkative, confident and a different lady. She also stop sneaking out of her house on Christmas and New Year's, I was surprise alright cause ghad she's been doing that since we were 10

I confronted her about that, and alam niyo ba kung ano ang sinagot niya?

"Grow up Nadz, people change"

My heart cringe from the memory but I immidietly shrug it off. I was about to stand up but pause when I heard my phone ringing , I snatch my phone immidietly and smiled when I saw the caller

Joseph Calling

"Yes?"

{ He's in America } My breath hitch for a while while my heart beat stop

'Fuck Nadine , don't accuse your boyfriend' I scolded myself

"Thankyou Joseph" I replied in a sincere tone , he chuckled

{ Your welcome Nadz, nandito lang ako okay don't forget that } He stated and ended the call making me sigh again

Napaka swerte talaga ng mapapangasawa ng lalaking yun. I rose up and dialled the number of my brother

"Hey Kuya"

{ Ano na naman ang kailangan mo? } He jokingly said making me roll my eyes

"Book me a flight for America this evening" I heard him cough numerously by my reply and answered

{ Nadine Elizabeth Lustre, ano ang pinaplano mo? }

"Chill brother just book me a flight please" He muttered a curse under his breath

{ If your planning on finding the suspects- }

"No I just wanna take a short vacation" I lied

{ Where are you going to stay? } He ask

"Hotel"

{ Just be careful okay, I can't afford loosing you princess }

"It's okay Kuya I will be fine"

{ Ipapadala ko nalang yung tickets mo at 6 }

"Thankyou"

{ Swerte mo mahal kita } He said making me chuckle by his childishness

"Shut up" I replied and ended the call not waiting for his answer

I went out of James' house and lock the gate and the front door before driving going to my condo

I just hope I won't be regretting wasting my time on going in America
