Chapter 22

Nadine's POV

Because I was there

Those words kept running throughout my mind, what does he mean?

"Nadine I'm your brother" My eyes' vision is already glassy from the tears that wants to fall down, he can't be

"How? Why?" I asked, I'm so confuse right now, I don't think my brain is on it's proper state in analyzing this crap. I'm speechless

"I am mom and dad's first child Nadine, my real name is Carlos Dominique Lustre, you are my little sister, my princess" Aunt Dimitri was crying beside me, she was looking at me with pure guilt

"But why? Bakit ngayong ko lang to nalaman, why aren't you with us from the past years, WHY?"

"Because they thought I was dead, they thought I was dead on the accident" He said and close his eyes reminiscing the pain he had experienced

"Our driver whose name is Leonardo Asejo fetch us from our school that time because classes are suspended, you were wearing your favourite hello kitty bag and your pink headband. You were 5 while I was 7, you even cried when your headband got wet because of the heavy rain" He chuckled on the memory

"While he was turning into a turn he saw a drunk man driving inside a truck so he turn the car on the sides not noticing were on a bridge and fell. You don't know how to swim so I have to save you. The water current was strong and you got hit by a rock, I tried my best to swim towards the sea shore but my best isn't enough. I was so close but the current got me so I use all my strength to threw you into the sea shore, I was satisfied when I saw your feet on the ground" He said sadly

"I was struggling to get some air that time but no, I lost my conscious. When I woke up I'm already in a hospital infact in a coma"

He look at me, tears streaming down from his magnificent brown eyes

Just like Daddy's eyes

"A rich family adopted me they weren't given a child so they got me. They gave me everything food, shelter, clothes my education"

"When I turned 18 they help me on finding my real family, but I was surprise when I found out mom and dad were dead. I was depressed on the news, but I did not lose hope when I heard there princess, our princess is still alive" He said while smiling

"I stop when I met Yassi" My eyebrow rose up on his sudden statement

"Why? Pwede mo naman akong hanapin while having a relationship with Yassi right" His smile fell when I said that

"Yes I know in fact I'm already preparing my self in asking her for marriage"

"But? Anong nangyari?" I ask, anger spark from his eyes

"The killers who murdered our parents black mailed me. They said they are coming for you, they are going to kill you like they did to mom and dad"

I made a loud gasp

"Oh my" I mumbled

"I made a decision, I broke up with Yassi cause I was scared, baka i dadamay nila ang babaeng mahal ko" He said in a sorrow tone

"No wait, we did not break up cause I was the one who left her" Akala ko si Yassi lang ang nasaktan ng sobra, I didn't know Dominique experienced much much worse

"I'm so sorry" He cried, I cried, I was so weak, then a thought came into my mind. There was a room at our house na palaging naka lock, hindi ako pinapasok ni daddy doon kasi bawal daw

"Dominique I have to go" Nabigla sila sa sinabi ko

"No wait Nadine!"

I ran towards my car and started the engines, may bibisitahin muna ako

"Maong Leonardo, Manong Leonardo" I said while knocking the wooden door of the house of the driver na nakasama nak- namin sa accidente

An old woman appeared ng bumukas yung pinto

"Ano ang iyong kailangan iha?" She asked, I smiled

"Nandiyan po ba si Manong Leonardo?" Tanong ko

"Ah sandali lang iha" Pumasok siya pabalik sa kanilang pamamahay, after 5 minutes nakita ko si Manong Leonardo kasama yung babae kanina

"Manong" I said happily and hug him, I heard him chuckle

"Iha ang ganda mo na, diba mahal ko?" I blush on his statement, tumango naman yung matandang babae

"Mahal ko, siya ba yung isa sa mga batang nakasama mo sa aksidente?" Lumaki naman ang mga mata ni Manong Leonardo, ah baka akala niya hindi ko parin alam

"Ah iha anong kailangan mo at napa bisita ka?" He said trying to change the topic pero napangisi lang ako sa inaasal niya

"Manong alam ko na ho ang lahat kaya pumunta ako dito" Bakas sa mukha niya ang gulat

"Ah sige iha pumasok ka muna" Tumuloy ako sa bahay nila, isa itong maliit at simpleng bahay na perpekto para sa kanila

"Maong pwede po ba akong magtanong?" Tumango naman siya bilang sagot

"Sige iha kahit ano"

"Meron talaga akong kapatid?" Tumango siya

"Ano po pala yung kwartong palaging naka lock at bawal akong papasukin ni daddy?" Tumigil siya sa pag inom ng kanyang kape at may kinuha sa bulsa niya

"Ito iha ang susi sa kwartong iyon, alam kong dadating at dadating din ang oras na maisasauli ko ito sa taong sa simula palang ay sa kanya na" He handed me the key while I took it gratefully

"Thankyou, maraming salamat po" Sabi ko at nag mano sa kanila

"Walang anuman iha, naku matutuwa talaga ang mga magulang mo nito" Ngumiti lang ako bilang sagot at nag byahe papuntang bahay ko 

When I arrive, I immidietly unlock the door and ran directly to the abandon room

I sighed heavily

"This is it" I mumbled and unlock the door using the key our family driver gave me

I was surprise by the extravagant beauty this room holds, I was halt in spot gaping on it's uniqueness 

The carpet is red like a rose, the windows are french wooden cream, the curtains are gold and the chairs are like brand new, this room smelled and shouted "old fashion" with class and elegance

The walls were covered with multiple pictures

It contains my father, mother, I and Dominique

This portrait shows how happy we are, I was sitted on the lap of my father while my mother's arms are wrap around my brother

The other picture is when I was carried by Dominique while I was three

By each picture, memories flashes back into my mind. A tear fell from my eyes when I saw the biggest frame and the most centered one

The picture shows how love is visible in our family

"Princess" I turn back and saw Dominique

"Kuya" I said and run towards him, he envelope me with his warm and soft hugs

"My princess"

"Kuya"

We were crying so damn hard. I thought I already know what or who I am but I was wrong

He brought his forehead to mine while he wipe my tears with his thumbs

"Finally were together" As he held my face he kiss my forehead with love and happiness

"What is the meaning of this?" Our sister - brother love was stop by the loud voice of my bestfriend, Yassi Pressman
