"When you say you'll never leave me, know that it's all in vain."

ZAYN-

Sunday 4:00am

I stare in the mirror and all I see is a boy who's just tired of life. The boy is me, of course. I don't stare too long but I push my hair out of my eyes. It's 4am and my shift at the club is over but I'm in the smelly bathroom calming myself back to normal. I put on sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt and finally open the swinging door. I'm greeted by a tall man who can't seem to find his balance.

"Hey," he dragged out the "y ". "You still on duty?" he giggles and leans against the wall.

"I'm actually off the clock." I put on the best smile I could manage. The brunette pouted his lip and limped towards the loud music in the main room.

How did he even get back here?

I shake my head and walk towards the exit gritting my teeth while remembering the events that happened earlier tonight. It was mostly hazy as my mind tried to help block it out. I flag down a cab and sigh as I sat down on the cloth-covered seats.

"Where to?"

"West of the hospital, on Secraine street." he nods and adjusted his rear-facing mirror.

By the time I'm in my flat its 5:32 and I don't have the energy to get anything to eat so I lie down on the couch and let my responsibilities take over my mind.

Barista by day. Stripper by night.

My eyelids finally get heavy with exhaustion and I feel myself slip into a deep dreamless sleep.

Monday 9:00am

My alarm scares me awake at it's regular time: 9am. I groan and head straight for the bathroom. My shower was shorter than usual because all the hot water was gone by the time I put on soap. It's only a matter of time before I'm all dressed up and ready to head to my day job. It's only a few blocks away so I walk instead of wasting my money on a cab. But I wish I had because I feel a slight drizzle land on my face.

"This day just keeps getting worse and worse." I whisper to myself. By the time my jacket was soaked I made it to the Coffee shop and clocked in at 10:00 on the dot. My co-worker,and best-friend, Louis, greets me with a cruel remark.

"How was working the pole last night?" he laughs.

"Fuck off, Lou." I say loud enough for him to hear. Louis scoffs and takes the order of the lady at the counter.

"I need a french vanilla latte, Zayn! Hold the cream!"

"Coming right up, Lou."

I've worked at this place for about 2 and a half years now and I'm just now starting to feel comfortable with my surroundings. It's not that I wasn't comfortable, I just wasn't used to having a civilized conversation with people not involving sex-talk. I'm finished with the blonde lady's order and she's out the door before I'm back to the counter again.

"So seriously, how was last night? Did you find the man of your dreams?" Louis asks and rests his head on the palm of his hand

"Very funny ,Lou, unless I want a old, horny drunk guy to feel me up, I'll just say no to that."

"Well did you find any guys for me?"

"Well other than the guy that already works there, no I didn't." I laugh while he pouts. We talk a bit more before another customer comes in with a weird smirk on his face. He says something that takes the air from my lungs.

"So this is where you are in the day-time."
