*AUSTINS POV*

This child knows me.. Well heck that makes things a lot easier! But she seems sad or reluctant.. I wonder if her mother has said anything about me? I'm sure she has, I am her father after all.

"You're not from one of those devil worshiping bands are you!?" Says the orphanage lady, and I hear Alex gasp next to me and blow up like a puffer fish,

"They worship a multicoloured octopus called squidgy you old hag!" Alex yells, this kid has some fire.

"I'd like if you didn't comment on her music taste," I say sitting forward in my chair and baking Alex up, "I am one of the singers of a very famous metalcore band, with lots of people who wouldn't take your input as kindly as me," I say and I hear Alex chuckle next to me, a grin sweeping across her face.

The lady looks up at me through her glasses, slightly pale and quickly shuffles through her desk and slides the papers over to me "I see where Alex got her attitude from."

I stare down at the papers, and look over at Alex as she huddles in the chair and stares at her feet, her longs brown hair falling down past her shoulders and the freckles on her face highlighting the area under her blue eyes and across her nose.
what if this child doesn't want to come with me? How would she cope with our constantly moving lifestyle? I don't want her to be miserable...

"We don't have all day Mr Carlile," says the lady tapping her fingers on the desk. Now I understand why Alex doesn't like this place, it's outdated, and I'm sure as hell not letting this opportunity go and for her to be taken by some stranger and for me to never see her.

So, I sign the papers.

*ALEX'S POV*

I watch as Austin signs the papers, but as always- my heart and brain are fighting over what they want. My hearts says I've never had a father before, and one who is my idol- but my brain says this man left my mother alone with me and never bothered to contact her over all these years.

"I wish you good luck, Mr Carlile." Says the lady before shaking his hand and turning us out of the office when Austin gets a call.

"Sorry, have to get this." Is this the start of our very busy lives?

"I signed the papers, and you'll never believe this... She's a fan of our band!" Says Austin walking outside with one finger in his ear blocking out all the children as he speaks on the phone.

"Your stuff is ready and packed on your bed, thanks to your roommates." Says the lady and I run down the corridor, grab my bags, thank the kids and run outside where Austin has just gotten off the phone.

"Ladies first," says Austin opening the passenger side door for me, I hop in reluctantly and hug my bag as I watch Austin walk around the front of his car, his tattoos catching everyones attention and his desire to be around crabbing me by both hands and making it hard for me to try and stay distant from him.
