Alone

I wrote a song. :)

Saw an easy target when he saw you.
And no one cared what he was going through, so why on earth should he care about you?

How much could he have really made you hurt?
At most he was annoying, but he wasn't torture.
It'd make him feel better about himself
If he had to suffer so did everyone else.

But then you started crying,
And he didn't know what to do.
Was numbing his pain really worth hurting you?

Just cause he was alone, did you have to be alone?
Just cause he wasn't safe in his house, did that that mean you shouldn't feel at home.
Just cause he was in pain, did you really need to be too?
Said you weren't as cool as him,
He still isn't as cool as you.

Saw you hiding there,
Crying in a corner.
I guess what was annoying
Turned out to be torture.
You said you hated yourself.
More than anyone else.
Said they'd be better without you
How could he tell you it wasn't true

And he wanted to apologize
But pride got in the way
He regrets how he hurt you
To this very day.

Just cause he was lonely
You shouldn't have had to be alone
He wasn't safe in his house
And you never felt at home
He was in pain
He wishes he hadn't hurt you
Said you weren't beautiful
It wasn't true.

One day you didn't show up to school.
He was scared for your life.
Sometimes he was paranoid,
But this time he was right.
He drove to the hospital in his old worn truck.
At the speed of light.
Praying you were alright.

Saw you lying there in the hospital bed.
Cold and and half dead.
He saw the scars upon you and knew what you had done.
Counted the reasons you could have had.
And knew he was one.

How could he have caused you so much pain.
He was so ashamed.
Inside he felt his heart break.
All he could say was sorry,
Though it was not enough.
He'd hurt a beautiful girl
Who he should have shown love.

Meaningless words
Had broken you down.
Didn't feel at home in your own house.

He was lonely
now he wishes he hadn't let you be the same.
He didn't feel at home
He didn't even know your name.
He was in pain
You were too
People had hurt you and he did same.
But Now he wishes he could fix you and take away your pain.

He walks into the white room
With tears in his eyes
And silently thanks god
That he didn't let you die
Then you turned toward him
And opened your eyes
And on your face
You had a sad smile.

He tried to be strong
But that didn't last long
He burst into tears
And said in a whisper
I'm sorry I brought you here.

You took his hand
And said with a sigh
I forgive you my friend
Please don't cry
He tried his best to hold it inside
And on his face was a weak smile

And a tear slid down your face
He said, I'm sorry I made you afraid
You said all I wanted was a friend in you
And to this day, I still do.

On that day
He made a vow
To not live the same
To change somehow
And to never leave your side.
So you'll never again want to die

He's no longer alone
And neither are you
There's still pain
Things you still go through
They can build a house
And make it feel like a home
They will never be alone.

Stop hate. Hate does nothing but hurt. Show love and be a friend. No more lives should have to end.
