*three years later*
luke remembers the phone call.
michael was
dead.
luke's heart shattered when he heard the words.
he had a full fledged panic attack, and was in shock for two days.
he stayed in bed for three days.
luke didn't eat.
he couldn't sleep.
luke felt empty inside.
at night he choked out sobs, and his eyes burned as he wrapped his arms around himself tightly, trying to squeeze the pain out of his chest.
during the day he screamed into the emptiness that was previously his home.
its not his home anymore, because as michael said, home is where the heart is.
but michael's isn't beating anymore.
and luke feels like his isnt either.
'why did you do it?'
he screamed until his lungs were sandpaper.
'why did you do it?'
he whispered that time as the sobs shook his body.
luke wanted the pain to stop.
luke wanted michael back.
