Today was the day. It was the day that I finally got to meet Calum Hood. Calum and I already know heaps about each other, he knew my age (16), my name (Emily Rose) and many other things. There was just one thing he didn’t know, I’m anorexic. I remember the first day that we started talking.
I remember that it was in the middle of summer, I was lying on the grass outside my house tanning. I was texting my friend Brooke when I noticed that I had a twitter notification.

I started spamming him. It was one of the last chances to get a follow from him. After about 5 minutes of tweeting Calum, I was on tweet limit. I remember lying down on the grass, thinking I was never going to get a follow from him. A couple of minutes later, I felt my phone vibrate notifying me that someone had followed me on twitter. I looked at my mentions.
@Calum5SOS followed you!
I remember jumping up off the ground and jumping around because I was so happy. After I finished my little party, I noticed that I had a DM.
It was from Calum.
“Hey!”
I replied to the DM and Calum and I talked for hours. That was one of the first conversations that we had, we’ve had many more since then. It was now the middle of winter, 6 months after I started talking to Calum. I ran upstairs to my room since I was meant to be meeting him in 30 minutes. I had a quick shower before putting my leggings on and a big, grey cardigan.
“Mum!” I yelled since I didn’t know where she was. “I’m leaving!”
I heard her mumble something in return before I grabbed my phone and walked out the front door. I walked down the road towards the park in the freezing weather. I tightly wrapped my arms around me while I walked. It was only a couple of minutes until I got to the park. I sat down on one of the swings and started swinging slowly while I scrolled through twitter on my phone. A couple of minutes later I heard someone cough. I looked up from my phone and saw a familiar teenage boy walking towards me.
“Emily?” He asked.
“Calum!” I yelled before getting off the swing and running to hug him.
