*****Elizabeth's POV*****
I run ahead of Lou and Taylor through the carnival. I'm lifted off my feet and turn to see Taylor smiling at me. I giggle and I'm placed down. I take Taylor's hand and pull her through the crowd. "Taylor Swift? Lou? What are you doing here?" A voice asks from behind us. My eyes widen and I turn towards the person. "UNCLE ASH!" I giggle at him. He smiles and lifts me into a hug. "I missed you Ellie Bear!" He smiles. I smile. "I missed you too." I smile. "So what are you doing here?" He asks me. "Big Girls Night Out!" I cheer. He giggles at me. "Well, I lost the others. Can I join you?" He says. I turn to Lou with big eyes and she nods.
We walk up to the 'knock over the cans' stall and pay for a game each. I'm lifted up and I toss the first baseball at the cans. The tumble down to the ground and I move to the next set.
Uncle Ash carries Misty the Polar Bear through the carnival for me, while I rest my head on Taylor's shoulder while she carries me. We approach the Ferris Wheel and get in the line. A group of three boys stand in front of us and Lou taps on the tallest one's shoulder. He turns around and smiles at us. "Dang. You found us Ashton." Uncle Luke complains and the others turn around. "Ellie Boo!" Uncle Calum cheers and takes me into his arms. I cuddle into him as we move forward in the line. "Who's bear?" Uncle Michael asks, patting it's head. I raise my hand and close my eyes. "We have to get Elizabeth home after this. Niall wants to tuck her into bed in an hour. So we have to keep her awake for it." Lou says. "Coca-Cola! Get your Coca-Cola here!" A man calls in a funny voice. I giggle and look up at Calum. Lou calls out to the person and buys one. I'm handed a bottle and I open it. I place it to my lips and drink it slowly.
I stand on the ground bouncing around Uncle Calum's feet as we wait to be let on the Ferris Wheel. The cage is opened and he signals for our group to get in with Misty. Calum carries me into the cage and I burst into a giggle fit. "That was a bad idea, Lou." Uncle Luke sighs loudly as I poke his cheek. Uncle Michael yanks me into his lap and I burst into tears. Everyone's eyes widen in horror.
We walk into the house as I scream my head off in Uncle Calum's arms. Dad-Dee runs over and takes me into his arms. "What happened to her?" He asks. "We were at the carnival and we ran into Uncle Ashton. After a while, we arrived at the ferris wheel and found Uncles Calum, Luke and Michael. We were keeping her awake with Coca-Cola while waiting to get on the ride. Elizabeth was poking Luke's cheek on the ride and Michael yanked her into his lap, causing her to start crying." Lou explains. I'm rocked back and forth as Dad-Dee attempts to calm me down.
After an hour, I settle down and close my eyes. I'm carried upstairs quickly and tucked into bed. "Night, Elle Belle. I love you to the moon and back." Dad-Dee says quietly. I hum and fall asleep.
I wake up to my alarm going off. I climb out of bed and change into my uniform. I brush my hair and run downstairs. I climb into my seat at the dining table and eat my breakfast. As I finish I run upstairs and brush my teeth. I pack my bag and run back down to the others.
I jump around the footpath as I walk with Will and James through the flowering streets. "How come we couldn't do this before today?" I ask. "Because it was Winter before. It's Spring now." Will says. I nod and jump over a puddle.
I sit in my class as a paper plane it's my head like every other day of this year. "Good Morning, kids!" Miss May chirps to us as she walks in. "We have an assembly today. You'll be getting a school value wrist band if I call your name out." She says, holding a piece of paper. She reads through the very short list and when she gets to the last name of the list she smiles. "Elizabeth Tomlinson." She calls.
I walk over to Miss May and she smiles at me. "Elizabeth. I need you to be honest to me when you answer this question." She says. I nod and she smiles sadly. "I was told something that your dads are worried about. Have the other kids been picking on you while you're at school?" She says. I look down and nod. "Elizabeth, it's okay to tell myself the truth about what's going on. I want to help you and so does your family. I'll get the principal to talk to the class while I take you to the library after lunch." Miss May says.
I sit close to Miss May as the whole school sits in the assembly hall. The principal walks forward with a box. "Welcome everyone. I will be giving students a wrist band for the school values they have used so far this year." Mr Fryston calls out.
"Elizabeth Tomlinson! Active Learner, Responsible, Respectful, Honesty, Caring and Safety." Mr Fryston calls out over the voices. I stand up and walk up front. I shake the principal's hand and take the container that has the wrist bands inside. "James and William Tomlinson! Safety, Caring, Responsible, Respectful, Active Learner and Honesty!"
I look through the shelves of library and pull out a chapter book. Harry Potter and The something Stone. I take it over to Ms Rees and she issues it for me. Miss May walks us back to the classroom and we step into the silent room. I look around and see everyone has their heads on their desks. Mr Fryston clears his throat and everyone looks at me. "I'm sorry, Elizabeth." Everyone says in sync. I look at the ground and head over to my desk.
I run out the gates and over to James and Will, attempting to avoid my class. We take off quickly and head home.
I run through the house and up to my room. Annie lays on my bed and stares at me with big blue eyes.
