i rub my forehead and walk past the pool where everyone was drinking and talking to each other, towards the door which lead back inside to ashton's house

it's not that i didn't like hanging out with everyone, cause i did. it's just that luke's new whatever the fuck this girl was to him was making it pretty hard for me to enjoy myself.

i walk over to the kitchen, pour myself a shot, then quickly swallow the strong liquid. it's stings my throat but i pour myself a few more shots anyway until i'm startled by a deep familiar voice.

"seriously, who takes a shot alone?" luke laughs as he comes up behind me and pours himself one as well

"people who are annoyed and lonely." i say while glancing outside to where ashton just rode a small bike into the pool "how come your not out there with.."

"lacy?" he says finishing my sentence since i hadn't bothered to get her name earlier when alice and i arrived "she had to leave. she said she had to go help her friend out with something."

"really?" i say a little too happily while picking up my shot

"really." luke laughs as he does the same

we both down our shots quickly then luke speaks up

"you don't like her do you?"

i scoff "no, i love her. she's really, something. you really got lucky." i say while making myself and drink and turning towards the door to walk back outside

"hey." luke says while grabbing my wrist then spinning me around so i'm facing him "are you jealous?" he says with that damn smirk of his

i glance down at his hand then at him. "you wish." i scoff

"yeah, okay. i know you are, and don't worry. she's just a friend." he says while winking then grabbing a beer "now. are you gonna come outside with me and have fun, or are you going to be boring and take loser shots by yourself?" he asks while holding his hand out

i look down at his extended hand and sigh. fuck it why not.

"fine but you have to go on the trampoline with me." i say while hesitantly taking his hand

he smiles widely "deal."

just as we get outside we see everyone jumping into ashtons pool still fully clothed and laughing their asses off.

"hey finally you love birds come out." michael says as soon as he spots us "come on jump in." he says while motioning us to go on the pool

"uh no thanks i'm good. you guys go have fu-. lucas!" i yell as soon as luke picks me up and runs with me in his arms towards the pool

"sorry babe." luke winks just before we both splash into the pool with me still gripping tightly onto him

okay i already asked this question before but what do you think ashley looks like? i have someone in mind and i'll tell you who it is later but i wanna see what you guys think first. (no it's not halsey sorrryyy)
