Chapter 2

Scarlett's POV

They took me back to Joe's pack. I still hadn't said anything. I wanted my parents. As I entered there pack house Joe's mate, Emily, came over to me. She took me straight to the pack Doctor to check my wounds and then brought me to one of there guest rooms. She helped me get undressed and into a bath were she sat next to me on the floor and washed my hair.

"Scarlett, I know this is hard for you but I want you to know that we are going to take care of you." She said as I laid in bed after getting dressed. I looked over at her and finally broke down. She pulled me into her arms and rocked me as I cried.

"Its okay. Your okay now." Was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning she was laying next to me asleep. I looked at her and knew I was going to be okay.

Over the next week I stayed with Emily a lot. She was about 35 like my mom and she helped me back to my self. But I was different in a lot of ways. Like the Scar I had on my eye. Three claw marks starting from right above my eyebrow to the top of my cheek bone. It wasn't to bad. The lines were red but straight and clean, not jagged and puffy. Emily said it made me look like a bad ass.

I also told them how I had shifted and killed those rouges. Joe was surprised and asked if I could shift again. After I did Joe and Emily looked shocked.

"Your fur..." Joe said.

"What about my fur?" I didn't check and see what color it was.

" Its like a blood red. It almost looks black, like your hair." This surprised me also. Werewolves were either black, grey, or brown.

" And your the size of a adult wolf." Emily added. Since I was only 15 that shouldn't have been possible. They told me not to shift in front of others and I agreed. After about 2 weeks they said that I should go back to school. I agreed because I was tired of being stuck in that house all day. That's when I met him.

He was the future Alpha and his name was Kaiden. He was in my 3rd and 5th class. He was the most beautiful boy I had ever seen. I would watch him all the time but he never talked to me. The other students made it their life goal to torcher me and he didnt stop them. He even laughed along with the others. I hated that I was in love with him but every time I was near him I felt butterflies in my stomach. The only friend I had there was Josh.

I met him when some girls pushed me against my locker. He helped me up and that was the start of our friendship. We did everything together. About 2 months after I arrived at Joe's pack I turned 16. It was an important number because its when you can actually tell who your mate was. I was terrified to go to school cause I thought it would be one of the student who bullied me. I did not want to be rejected, but I was forced to go any ways. When I walked into 3rd I smelt the most wonderful thing in the world. The smell of chocolate and strawberries hit my nose and my eyes flew to the source. It was Kaiden my mate. As his eyes flew to mine a look of shock, anger, and fear flashed across his face until he blanked it and stared ahead. After class he grabbed my arm and dragged me outside where no one goes.

"Out of everyone it could have been the Moon Goddess chose you" he snarled. I flinched away from him.

"You could never be future Luna..." He said looking torn. He finally looked at me with determination on his face.

" I, Kaiden King, reject you Scarlett Maine as my mate."

I feel to the floor screaming in pain as he said the words I feared I would hear. When I finally recovered I looked up to see he was gone. I went straight home and told Emily what had happened. To say she was mad would be a understatement. I begged them to let me stay and be home schooled but Joe had a better idea. That very day I was sent off to another pack famous for their fighting skills. For the next year and a half I became the best fighter there was and learned about my wolf from a old professor. He told me I was a Blood Wolf and in being one it came with certain advantages and disadvantages.

I was stronger and faster than most wolfs and I had the ability to create a shield around who and whatever I wanted. I was a lot bigger than other wolfs and I had my weird color. The professor also said that i could gain other powers as i matured but of what we could not know. While i was away Joe and Emily kept me up to date on everything happening back home. Emily talked to me a lot about Kaiden. She told me how after he found out i left he changed. He was quite and many were scared of him. He recently tuned 18 and his wolf was completely black, which is rare. She also said he was the biggest wolf in the pack. They had mentioned that he was becoming a Alpha King which i thought was funny since his last name is King. Kaiden is soon going to take Joes's place as Alpha and King of all werewolfs. Which meant i was coming back just in time.(Notice my sarcasm?)
