Missing You (Sequel to In Between)

Chapter One

Rosie's POV
January 2, 2016
I woke up to the sound of my alarm I groaned and woke up. So, today was my first day in california and I was both scared and excited about it. Right now I was staying in a hotel in San Diego since I don't know anyone here. I got up looked at my clock and it was 9:00 a.m I immediately went to shower so that I could get ready for today. Today's plan was too look for a job and a place to stay well I would need to live with someone for the time being so that I could split the pay with someone else, I sighed as I grabbed my clothes and headed to the shower I was still tired from the jet lag but I knew that it came with the decision of moving out of New York. After I was done showering I dried up, got dressed to look for a job but decided that since I didn't have a car yet it would be best to search online and see if anything popped up so that's what I did well right after ordering room service. After, I received my food I grabbed my phone and saw if there were any jobs openings anywhere well I'd rather there be in a record store or something along those lines. After searching for what seemed like forever I finally found the local record store so I decided to go and check if help was wanted there, fingers crossed they were because I like working in record srores they are fun, plus their not a whole ton of work sure their a bit stressful at times but c'mon what job isn't please tell me because I'd really love to know. I grabbed my bag and left to go see what my luck would be. After getting there I walked into the shop and walked up to the register and asked the lady there of there were any job openings.
"Hello, are there any job openings?" I asked her.
"Yes, there is one for the position of cashier are you interested?" She asked me.
"Yes, yes I am."
"Perfect hold on one sec." She left to go do something while I waited.
"This is Chris he will help you out with the register in other words he'll train you" she said with a smile.
"Okay, sounds good thanks by the way I'm Rosie" I said as introduced myself to Chris.
"Nice too meet you I'm chris." He smiled at me and shook my hand. I let go and he helped me out well that's it I finally got a job.

2:00 p.m
I was finally back at my hotel after a long day at work I sighed changing into my comfy clothes and layed there before deciding on calling tay. So I grabbed my phone and called her.
"Hey rosie!"
"Hi tay how are you?"
"I'm okay, how are you?"
"Same okay I miss you guys hope to see you all soon."
"For sure is everything working for you alright?"
"Yeah I got a job today at the local record store and I'm really happy I've been here for one day and I'm really happy so far."
"That's good I'm happy for you!"
"Thanks tay, tell everyone that I say hi!"
"Will do, well I gotta go I love you take care"
"I love you too and take care too bye"
"Bye beebs" with that said I hung up. All of a sudden I heard someone knock on the door I ruffled my hair and opened the door without looking or asking but I really wish I had asked. Once I opened the door my ex boyfriend josh ran in slammed the door shut and pushed me to the floor.
"What the hell are you doing here? How did you find me?" I quickly asked.
"They caught me hide me!" Is all he said.
"What? No get the hell out! Whatever you did it's your problem your on your own!" I yelled 'I can't believe this is happening' I thought to myself.
"Shut up" he said slapping me.
"You know what I didn't move here to have you come ruin my life! But you know something I'm not gonna run away from my problems again but I am gonna go report you" I spat he grabbed my by the wrist and screamed in my face
"You are not going to do that you hear me?!" Then I see guys come in and they were angry one slapped me so hard on the face causing me to pass out.

Hours later
I woke up in a white room with a gown and in a bed that wasn't the hotel's I was really confused I honestly didn't remember anything.
"I can't believe my luck my first day in a new state and already I'm in what seems like a hospital." I frowned and then the doctor
walked in alongside the nurse.
"How are you feeling Miss. Biersack?" The doctor asked me.
"I'm confused as to how I got here." I replied.
"Someone slapped you causing you to pass out. The lady at the hotel found you and called an ambulance and that's how you got here"
"Oh" is all I said he looked at his medical chart and the nurse made sure I was okay then there was a knock on the door and it was my Co worker Chris.
"Hey rosie, they called the shop so I came to get you" he replied while smiling at me.
"Thanks chris" I smiled back.
"Your welcome" the doctor gave me the okay to go so chris helped me up and then we left.
"You can stay at my home if you'd like for your safety" he said looking at me. 'Rosie you can't live with him what if he tries to get with you' I thought to myself. I brushed those thoughts off and answered him.
"Look chris your offer is sweet and all but I can't accept I'm sorry"
"Rosie I don't know why I feel like I can trust you I mean I'm not saying I can't but I barely know you anyway don't think diffrent of me but I'm gay" he said awkwardly.
"Oh... I'm sorry I didn't know, anyway you can trust me I'm bad at keeping secrets but I can keep yours" I said with a smile.
"Thanks and it's not like I'm ashamed I just don't need anyone getting into my life you know?" He asked.
"Yeah I definitely know that feeling I won't judge you, you can like whoever you want and do whatever you do I'm not gonna say your a good or bad person just because of your preferences."
"Thanks, I really appreciate that, anyway I told you because I feel like I can trust you and also because I don't want you to think that I want to get with you or anything I'm just offering my home so you'll be safer because I heard what happened I talked to the police."
"The police?" I asked worried
Yeah... I think you should know this." He said also worried.
"What happend please tell me."
"Well your ex came back, he was running away from a guy the cops didn't catch him yet but he slapped you and hurt him badly he's not dead he's in a critical condition, he's actually here in the same hospital." I felt a numb I didn't know how to react I just sighed and we walked out.
"Want to go get your things from the hotel?" He asked me.
"Yeah I kinda need my stuff" I said laughing.
"Okay, get in and let's go" he said opening the door for me.
"Thanks, such a gentleman" I chuckled
"Thanks ma lady" I got in and he got into the drivers seat and drove off. After we got there we went to my room to gather up my things and after I had everything he helped me with my suitcase and we left to go pay my stay at the hotel, then we left back to his car.
"Thanks dude"
"Your welcome" we got in and he drove off I was really happy I had made a friend here now all I had to do was take care of myself so that my past didn't come back.
