What do you say to someone

who does not want to talk to you –

who will go out of their way 

to avoid conversation;

who will remove all evidence

that they ever even knew you?

It is not my fault

that they neglected their best friends.

I am not in the one

in the wrong.

But I will let them tell themselves that

i am if it helps them sleep at night.

[because i am a nice person, 

and i maybe care too much]

but i hope they don't forget 

that i do care about them.

i just don't care for them

. . .

not anymore.
