I'm a little reluctant when writing this one because Ed is one of my boyfriends. Yeah... Anyways enjoy!

You walked into the GCPD. It was a pretty normal day. Officers sitting at their desks doing nothing, criminals hastily attempting to escape their cells, and as usual: Jim and Harvey solving literally every case. Seriously! What's up with that?

You hung your coat up on the rack and walked to the back to the files room. Opening the door, you heard voices. You backed away listening.

"Mrs. Kringle," said a male voice. There was a loud and dramatic gasp.

"What! What?" another female voice exclaimed shakily.

"A cupcake is sweet, a bullet is deadly, a beautiful woman is a dangerous thing," the male voice said again. There was a long pause of silence. A man pushed past you and walked into the files room.

"Sorry," you muttered.

"Hey! Hey there there who's knowing who? I-I'm just.. What's green and then red frogs in a blender," said the male voice nervously laughing.

"Walk away Nygma. Walk away," said a deeper voice. You assumed it was the man who had just walked in.

"I just- I'm sorry if I offended you Mrs. Kringle." The door opened and you jumped back a little.

"Oh hello. We-were you...?" A man came out and was standing in front of you. He was tall and gangly, with brown hair and Brown eyes. (which were concealed behind a pair of rather large glasses)

"Yes! I mean no, of course not! I mean- sorry," you frantically tried to not look like an idiot. (Or if you prefer: you frantically tried to not look like an idjit.) He studied you intently.

"Hmm.. Well, who are you then?" he asked you awkwardly.

"Y/n," you answered.

"Well y/n, my name is Edward. Edward Nygma. But call me Ed if you like," he explained. You nodded.

"Oh! What's everywhere and nowhere, except where something is?" he asked you, his eyes shining.

"Nothing," you proudly stated, having heard this one before. He nodded in defeat.

"Well y/n, I'll leave you to your job now. I have someone I'm supposed to be meeting," Ed said beginning to walk away.

"Wait!" I called. He turned back around raising an eyebrow.

"Yes?" he said.

"Do you know who the forensic scientist around here is? I-I'm an intern and I have to go meet him soon," you explained frantically remembering why you were at the GCPD in the first place.

"Oh, hello, I didn't realize I was talking to the new intern," he said holding his hand out.

"I'm the forensic scientist around here," he stated proudly. You modded and shook his hand.

"Well then hi, boss," you replied.
