It was one of those days where I couldn't care less about anything if I tried. My entire day started out rough from the moment I woke up on the floor of my room. I must've fallen out while I was sleeping. The next thing I knew was my mother yelling at me that I was going to be late. So, I did what any teen would, I rushed into my clothes and ran down the stairs. After gather thing all of my things I bolted out the door.

When I arrived at school, I ran through the doors and down the hall. I got to class just in time.

"Hey Danny!" Called my friend Tucker. Along side of him was my other friend Sam.

"Hey, guys." I said with a yawn.

"You okay, man?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, I just stayed up most of the night." I answered.

"Dude, you need your rest. You aren't going to be able to kick ghost butt without sleep."

I closed my locker. "I know Tuck, it's just that they have started to show up a lot more lately. I'm wondering if somethings going on that I should be aware of."

"I don't know dude."

We entered our classroom and I sat down, waiting for the day to just be over with.

After school, I went to the park to do my home work. I would do it at home but with how loud my parents were, it was kind of hard to concentrate. After plopping down under a tree, I took out my things and began to work on my homework.

Most of it I didn't really understand. Being out of school so often had caused me to fall behind in most, if not all of my classes. My teachers weren't very happy with the continuous disappearing act that I used when I had to leave class to fight ghosts. I couldn't help it though. It was my job to make sure the people of Amity were safe.

I sighed and raked my fingers through my raven locks and pushed my books to the side. I knew wasn't going to get anything done so I just leaned my head against the tree stump.

Sometimes I wished something would take me away from the crazy phenomenon that is life. Then again, I wouldn't be able to get revenge on the ghost taut killed Jazz. So until that happens, I will continue to be on edge.

My eyes began to droop but opened at the buzzing of my phone. It was my father, Jack.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Daniel, there's been another ghost attack uptown! Your mother and I need you to get here as quick as possible." Then he just hung up.

Grabbing my things, I sighed and ran the way that would take me uptown. Sure to my fathers information, there was a ghost attack at a bank. People were running away from the scene in terror as a ginormous, blob of a ghost scaled the building. It was shattering windows and breaking structure beams, which wasn't a good thing if people were still inside. If the building collapsed, they'd all be dead in an instant.

I saw my mom and father pointing ectoplasm guns at the ghost, trying to get a good aim. Even I could see that it wasn't a perfect shot. I hurried over to them and grabbed some equipment from my fathers duffle bag. I pieced together an ectoplasmic harpoon and aimed straight up at the blobs angry, red eye, knowing it was the only solid part of the ghost. I clenched my finger around the trigger and fired.

With a mighty roar the ghost came off of the bank building, clutching it's face in fingerless hands. I hurriedly grabbed the Fenton thermos and sucked the ghost into it and capped the container.

"That's my boy!" Dad yelled in triumph.

I smiled weakly, feeling tired after all of the adrenalin wore off. I handed the thermos to Mom and helped pack up the other equipment with my father. We went home that night, exhausted but glad that nothing escalated farther than it did.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!
Pretty short, I know. I haven't updated this in like...two or three years. YEARS! Anyways, this story didn't end up being written as planned. At this point, I don't know where it's going to go or if I'm even going to finish it. I might keep writing it... I just need a whole lot of time to do so.  If I continue to write it, stay tuned. If I don't, thank you for reading this anyways!
