I'm Not Like Them // l.t. editing

Chapter 4

                The vampire hunter slowly reached for her back pocket, probably trying to pull out a gun or something. She made it so obvious.

                “Your still a killer, a cold hearted—“ Lilly quickly pulled a gun out of her pocket and pointed it at me. “Move and I will shoot”

                I chuckled, Lilly was clearly a rookie. “Zayn’s going to start getting worried if I don’t come back”

Lilly shrugged, “I will just tell him you weren’t feeling good and went home”

                Frowning I put my hands up and squeezed close my eyes, “Just whatever you do, DON’T SHOOT!”

                Lilly, who was a complete idiot for thinking I was serious, walked closer to me and kept the gun pointed at me. “Just don’t move! If you move—“

                “I get it, I get it! You will shoot!” I hissed, opening my red bloodshot eyes.

For a minute there I thought I saw Lilly staring into my eyes. And not the kind of ‘I want to kill you’ way, but the ‘I love you’ way. Maybe it was just because I have sexy eyes. Yeah, probably.

                Then it happened.

BAM!! BAM!!! BAM!!!

                I was shot in the heart. Lilly put her gun away, watching in victory as I fell to the ground clenching my chest.

                “I told you I would kill you” She said coldly

I layed there for a few seconds, letting her have her few seconds of victory. I wasn’t actually hurt, guns don’t hurt vampires, sure bullets sting a little but they aren’t lethal.

                I chuckled as I sprang back up beside Lilly. “Surprise!!”

Lilly didn’t look surprised thought, she just stared at me with a blank expression, showing no sign of emotion.

                I waved my hand in front of her face playfully, “Lilly, you ok? Don’t tell me you went into shoc-“

A large burning pain shot through my chest and spread throughout my body. I screamed in pain as I gripped onto the bathroom sink trying to think straight. “WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!!!”

                Lilly smiled, “Do you really think that I would just shoot you with just your average silver bullet? Well you’re wrong. They many have appeared silver from the outside, but the inside is completely wooden. When the bullet hits its target it explodes inside of it and the sharp wood goes everywhere. Have fun!”

                That little—I gripped onto Lilly’s arm as she started to walk away.

“Don’t let me end like this—I love you” I said in complete honesty, tears pouring down my face.

                Lilly slapped my hand off of her arm, “Get away from me you monster”

And with that Lilly left me. I tumbled on the ground excepting my death. I had nothing after this, or at least that’s what I thought. I was always told that vampires have no soul. So that means I would never go to Heaven. I guess I wouldn’t go to Hell either; I would probably just turn into dust and eventually be forgotten about.

                What was I kidding? There was no way I was going to die like this, it was too cheesy. Getting killed by the love of your life. No way buddy.

                I pushed myself off the ground and wobbled towards the door.

“HARRY!!! ZAYN!! LIAM!!! NIALL!!” I cried trying my best to get to the football field.

                I couldn’t fall back on the ground; because once I was down I knew I couldn’t get back up again. I gripped onto the wall, only feet away from the field. My eyelids slowly started to close.

                NO. There was no way I was going to die like this; I’ve been through so much worse.

I ran as fast as I could (which was pretty slow) towards the boys. I ran into one of them, I think Liam, and grabbed onto him. “Liam help—“

                “Loui- OH MY GOSH, LOUIS!!”

I could hear more footsteps getting closer,  “What’s wrong with Louis? Whoa his eyes…” an Irish voice said

                “ZAYN CALL 911!!” Someone shouted.

His voice sounded so familiar, why couldn’t I remember who it was though?

“Just hang in there Tommo—“

                That was the last thing I heard before everything went black.
