"I would never judge you," Dean assures her, allowing her to exhale the air she was holding. "So how open are we talking? Like is this a full discloser sort of deal?"

"Well I'm not going to lie to you, so I expect the same in return," Elena says smoothly, wanting to get the trust thing out there. Dean nods, sensing something under her words. She must have trust issues, he thinks to himself, making a mental note. "Is there anything else?"

"When are we gonna meet? Is it gonna be like a regular thing?" Dean asks, hoping her answer is yes. He wants to see Elena as much as possible to give him some sort of outlet from Lisa and the kid.

"I'd like that," Elena says, smiling. "How about once a week?"

            "Four times."

            "Two."

            "Three."

"That," Elena says, taking a deep breath. "That I can do. Three times a week."

"At least," Dean adds, bringing a smirk to Elena's face.

"You're seriously going to booty call me?" Dean lets out a huff of laughter, changing Elena's smirk to a full-blown smile.

"In your dreams, sweetheart," Dena says, still laughing. "When?"

"Well, I can do Saturday mornings," Elena says, her eyes zoning out as she tries to picture her schedule. "Tuesday nights I'm free and Thursday afternoons. But on Thursday it's a pretty small window."

"Your work schedule is ridiculous," Dean comments, bringing Elena back down to earth. "How about Saturdays breakfast, Tuesdays dinner, and Thursdays lunch?"

"Covering all the meals. I like it," Elena says, the smile returning to her face. She can't remember a time when she'd smiled this much with Damon. Smiles around him were rare and fleeting, quickly and easily replaced by a scowl or a disappointed frown. Dean is different, constantly lighting up Elena's face with a radiant smile and making her enjoy something as simple as coffee.

"Oh, we should probably exchange numbers. Just in case I do decide to booty call you," Dean says. Scoffing, Elena places her phone in his palm so he can put himself into her contact list. She does the same for him, typing in her number before returning his phone.

"Now don't go calling me every two seconds. I'm sure Little Dean can survive a few days." Dean's cheeks flush bright red, causing Elena to burst out laughing. His embarrassment and her delighted laugh continue until the waitress comes to clear their plates. "But seriously, I don't want Damon getting suspicious."

"Don't worry, Lena," Dean says, pocketing his phone. "I'm not gonna blow up your phone." They sit in silence for a moment, both going over the rules and deciding if they've left anything out.

"I think that's everything," Elena finally says, sighing. She can't believe this is happening. She actually just sculpted the perfect affair and the worst part was she didn't even feel bad. Dean took all of that away, his presence wiping her clean of any guilt or doubt.

"Zero judgment, lying is bad, stay a secret, cover all the meals, and no strings attached," Dean says, counting them off on his fingers as he goes. "That's only five rules. Seems simple enough."

"You seriously did not just say that," Elena snaps, her mouth dropping open.

         "What?"

"You jinxed us!" Dean just rolls his eyes, standing up and putting the money on the table.

"Don't be so superstitious. There's no such thing as bad luck. Now come on, I think it's time we get to theother half of our arrangement," Dean says, wriggling his eyebrows at Elena.Scoffing, Elena places her hand in Dean's outstretched one and allows him topull her out of the café.
