"Psst."
"Parker."
"Psst!"
"Parker! Wake up!" Someone hisses.
I groan, rolling over. My eyes open and land on Noah standing in my doorway. When our eyes meet, his eyebrows raise and he gestures for me to come. I don't move.
"Parker," he whispers. "Come here."
When I still don't move, he sighs and steps into the room. I hold my breath as he walks over to my bed. He stops right over me. We stare at each other in silence for a few seconds. And then he pulls the blanket away from my body, gathers my in his arms and picks me up.
"Hey!" I snap, hitting him. "Put me the fuck down!"
"Shut up," he mutters, carrying me out my room and to his.
"Put me down, Noah." I say, my voice calm.
He does.
"What the hell do you want? I was trying to sleep."
"I want to talk," he murmurs, voice low. "About the kiss."
"What?" I sigh and shake my head. "I'm tired an I don't want to talk about anything right now."
"Why not?" His arms fold across his chest.
"Cause I don't want to."
Turning, I leave and make my way to the kitchen. He follows behind me.
"We supposed to act like it didn't happen?"
"It shouldn't have happened."
"Maybe not. That doesn't change the fact that it did. Come on, Parker, I'm trying to talk to you."
I go to the fridge and pull out the jug of water. He goes to the cabinet and hands me a glass. I gingerly take it and pour myself some water.
"Parker," he snapped.
"Noah, what the fuck is talking going to do? You're single. I kissed you. You kissed me back. And then you'll get back with Amber. So can we please not talk about it?"
"That's why you're being like that? Amber?"
"No." I gulp down my glass of water and move on to the living room. I sigh when I realize he's followed me there, too. I switch on the tv.
"Look Amber is - she's complicated." He shakes his head. "But we're done."
"Truthfully," I look up at him. "I don't care. You woke me up, can you at least let me watch tv in peace?"
"Parker." He sits on the couch and looks at me. "I don't know why you have this affect on me, but you do. Okay? So can we just talk for a second?"
"We just did."
"Okay," he breaths. His eyes narrow in determination. "You don't want to talk? We don't have to talk."
