I open the small black gate to the park. It groans in protest, but gives away. I make my way over to the big tree that sat right in the middle on its own. Once I get there I take of my maroon jumper and sit down on top of it. Soaking in the summer sun, warming up skin, until a shadow looms over me blocking out the sun.

"Mind if I join you" the thick deep voice alerts me and my head shoots up. A tall guy around my age was standing in front off me. Short golden brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, thin noes, strong jaw, creamy complexion, broad shoulders, black long sleeved top, dark jeans, timberland boots-

"Yes? No?" He asked and tilted his head to the side. I snap out of my faze. I really wanted to say no, like really badly. Why of all the places did he come here to sit. Why this tree? There was a perfectly fine tree all the way on the other side of the park that he could of sat under! Despite the fact that I really didn't want him to sit here I didn't know how to say no so I looked up at him and reluctantly nodded.

"Thanks" he said and moved to sit next t me. His scent soon engulfs me. It was a strong refreshing smell. He smelt nice. I think I'm sitting too close to him, I quickly scoot over making sure there's space between us, nope I can still smell him. Not that I was complaining.

"So what's your name?" He asks turning towards me. I shake my head and hold my hand up.

"Don't bother making conversation with me, im socailly awkward, with boys anyway. I dont know how to talk to them-to you. you make me nervouse and I can't make conversation with you's. So I'm going to save you from experiencing and extremely awkward conversation with me and am going to pretend you didn't talk. Your welcome." I stop talking and see that he is staring at me with an amussed expression, what's so funny. I was being dead serious.

"What if I want to experience an extrelmy awkward conversation?" He challenges.

"Ah jeeze, you really wanna talk to me?" I ask

"yup." He says popping the 'p'

I roll my eyes but nod otherwise. I look over at him, but he continues staring at me.

"Go on then, start the extreamly awkward conversation." I say

"Oh, uh okay, whats your name?" He asks.

"Mayra"

He flashes me a smile. Revealing perfect straight white teeth. "I like it," he says. "Mayra".

I smile as he says my name. "What's your's?" I ask

"Seth." He says simply. I smile, and nod. He looks at me expectantly.

"What?" I ask. Not sure what he wanted.

"Well I complemented your name, so now you have to do the same."

"I have to?" I ask

"Well, yeah"

"Okay" I look around trying to think of a compliment. "You have a very pretty name."

He shakes his head and looks down. "Pretty? Thats kinda insulting." He says but laughs.

I furrow my brows. "Im sorry, but you did demand an complement from me." I defend.

"Yeah, an instead you insulted me by calling my name 'pretty'"

"Okay." I say after a while, not knowing how to respond to that. Hurray, this is the awkward part I was warning him about. He looks at me with a straight face, like he is looking for something. Feeling realy self conscious I look down and let my hair fall, covering my face.
