In Love with My Boss (Aaron Hotchner X reader)

You were sitting with Morgan (on Morgan's lap) and you noticed something off about the way Hotch was acting. You and Derek had been dating for about three months now and you loved it. Breakfast and Lunch everyday. Date night every Friday. You felt loved, like a princess. Garcia was your BFF and you knew her relationship with Derek was only friends. But Garcia was scared you'd hate her for calling Derek baby. You laughed and told her that you understood that they loved each other, but not the way Derek loved you. Anyway, Hotch had been acting strangely the past couple of weeks, like something was about to happen. And it did. You noticed the agent Jason Gideon walking to Hotch's office. You knew him personally, like Hotch, and you weren't surprised to see him back. You expected it, just knowing Gideon. Morgan looked at Gideon like he wasn't real though. You laughed and said,

"Yes, it is Jason Gideon." Morgan smiled and said,

"(Y/N), I've been meaning to ask you something." You hummed and looked at him. Garcia walked up to Derek's desk and said,

"Hotch's needs you guys...We've got a case." You sighed and stood up, saying,

"We never get a break." Derek chuckled and said,

"Nope." You walked into the conference room and saw Gideon sitting down at the table. You smiled and said,

"Jason Gideon. It's been a long time." He looked at you and said,

"Yes, it has. It's good to see you again, (F/N)." You smiled and sat down next to Morgan, saying,

"So, what do we got here?" JJ looked at you and explained the details of the case. There was a murder and the BAU was invited to go and find the killer. Hotch looked at the team and said,

"Wheels up in 30." You nodded and walked out of the conference room, Morgan right behind you. As you drove to the airport, Hotch sat in the back with you and Morgan, staying quiet. You noticed that he'd glace up at you from time to time. Derek noticed too and put his arm over your shoulders pulling you closer to him. You laughed internally and smiled up at Derek, saying,

"You're such a child." He hummed in response and closed his eyes. When you got to the airport, you noticed Hotch, walking behind everybody else. You looked at Derek and said,

"Hey. I'll catch up to you. I forgot something in the car." Derek nodded and kissed you, saying,

"Alright. I'll save you a seat." You walked past everyone and over to Hotch, saying,

"Agent Hotchner?" He looked up at you and said,

"Yes?" You looked at him, your eyes softening, as you said,

"Are you alright?" Aaron Hotchner, the emotionless man, looked at you with eyes that you remember seeing when you were both kids. It were eyes that showed sorrow and need. You weren't sure, but you guessed that he cared about you more than he was letting on. You sighed and said,

"Come on, everybody is waiting or us." He nodded and you began to walk away.

"(Y/N)?" You heard him call out to you.

Hotch's POV

"(Y/N)?" I called out to her. She turned around and I went to tell her about my feelings, but I stopped myself and just shook my head, walking with her onto the jet. Gideon looked at me and said,

"Did you tell her?" I glanced at him and said,

"No, there's no need. I don't love her." Gideon looked stared at me, unconvinced and said,

"Hotch once you stop lying to yourself, you'll be able to get on with life. A life with her." I looked at him and said,

"I don't love her." Gideon sighed and shook his head, staying quiet. I looked over to (Y/N) and Morgan and noticed that she was looking at me. She locked eyes with me and tore her eyes away, looking at Morgan, telling him something. Morgan nodded and (Y/N) stood up, walking over to me. I glanced up at her and said,

"Hey." She smiled at me, saying,

"Hey. Can we talk in private?" I nodded and stood up, following her to the back of the plane.

"The director is thinking about promoting me." She says, looking at the ground. I lifted her chin and said,

"Promoting you to what?" She sighed and said,

"They're putting a position over Strauss, but under the director. He's putting me in that spot. So, I'll be yours and Strauss's boss." I frowned and looked into her eyes, saying,

"Would you still do field work?" She chuckled and said,

"He said I could decide that on my own. So, yeah, I'll still be doing field work." I smiled and (Y/N) froze. I looked at her and said, quietly,

"I love you." She looked up at me and closed the curtains to the back part of the jet. I felt her wrap her arms around my neck and press her lips against mine. I placed my hands on her hips and I groaned, lowly. (Y/N) gasped and she said,

"Why, hello to you too, Aaron." I blushed and kissed her, again, picking her up and placing her on the counter. She stopped me and said,

"Aaron, this is wrong. You are married." I kissed her neck and said,

"You and Morgan?" She pushed me off of her and said,

"That's another reason for you to stop, for us to stop." She opened the curtain and walked over to Morgan, kissing his cheek, before sitting next to him. I growled and muttered, 

"He can't love you the way I do." I sighed and walked to the front of the jet, sitting next to Gideon. He glanced up at me and said,

"I told you so." I glared at him, slightly, and said,

"Shut up." But, he was right I do love her and I couldn't stop those feelings.
