You can't find love in the club- Kim

KIM's POV

I faced the mirror in the girl's restroom. I didn't even recognize my face. My make-over changed me a lot. I cut my hair short and colored it light brown. Now, I am having hesitations if I am so good on my hair like this. I turned to Liz who is busy retouching her face. 

"Does it suit me?" I asked her while still combing my hair but still facing her.

"Of course, it suits you and you look good on that Kim, promise" she answered while shaping the lipstick on her lip. I turned to the mirror again and study my face. "It is just, you don't use on having your hair short, but really it suits you."

Yes! It is my first time cutting my hair like this. Cutting it into short. Above shoulder length like how Monkey Girl in Boys Over Flowers looks like. Imagine. Though Monkey Girl's hair is black and mine is light brown.

I thought at first that I would color it black again but Liz insisted to just keep it blond. Dahil bagay raw sa akin ang blond na buhok. So I took her suggestion.

I watched the time on my wristwatch. "Matagal pa ba sila?" I am pointing to all of my friends that will be arriving anytime soon.

Right after going to Salon, nagtext si Kath na inuman daw. Una, nag decline ako maaga pa kasi shift ko bukas and I need rest. Kaya lang gusto rin ni Liz kasi daw Saturday at marami ang tao sa Club Holic today. Club Holic, is one of the famous bar in Mango. Diyan kami palagi tumatambay pag may yayaan na inuman. So umoo nalang ako.

"You need a rest or you just don't want to see Zu, sabado ngayon and of course, present siya sa loob" she once told me noong sinabi kong ayaw ko muna at sakay kami ng jeep.

Tumawa ako. "Of course not" dali-dali kong sagot. Di ko talaga eneexpect na sasabihin niya yon kaya labis akong nagulat. "I am so fine now Liz." I gave her my assurance.

"Good. Since you cut your hair short, it is like for a new You" tumawa nalang ako sa sinabi niya. But she has a point too. Yeah, tama nga rin siguro na nag changed aura ako for a new me.

Nasa loob na kami ng Club Holic ng magsidatingan ang ibang kasama namin. Kaya umukopa na kami ng upuan. Parang reunion ng barkada kasi present daw ako at yung iba. Of course, nagkatawanan na naman at nagkatuksuhan. They even asked me if okay na ba daw ako sa break-up naming ni Zu. Yeah, I told them and they knew Zu too. So I wouldn't keep the news to them. At least all of us can adjust and that they all love my hair so panatag na ako.

Nagsimula na ding magdatingan ang mga tao kaya kung kanina ay medyo malamig pa ay nagsisimula ng uminit ang loob ng bar. Katulad namin, nandito rin sila para magsaya at bawat isa sa mga taong ito na nasa loob may sariling mga problema.

Tinapik ako ni Nhal. "Baso mo, baka amagin yan" ng mapansin niyang nasa mahaba akong pag-iisip. Agad kong kinuha ang isang baso ng beer at ininom lahat.
