"Ten bucks says you're wrong. There's a debriefing package waiting for you back at your apartment. Serena is holding onto it." Nick told me as I picked up a punching bag and walking away. "Is there anything you can tell us about the Tesseract that we ought to know now?" He asked me, making me chuckle slightly while shaking my head at his question. "You should have left it in the ocean." I replied to him before putting the bag down and exiting the gym.

As I was making my way home, I notice a black blur speed past me along with some girl that had a bow and mask. She was dressed in a short, and somewhat revealing, white dress. I watched as she chased after him. And of course, me being me, I had to go after them. I followed them into an alleyway and hid behind a dumpster, watching them, but I couldn't help but notice the angel wing tattoo/mark on the girl's upper back.

"He's going to reward me so well when I tell him where you reside." The man chuckled. "Who said I was going to let you walk out of this alive?" The girl tilted her head. 'Her voice sounds familiar...' I thought as I watched the two. "You're no match for me." The man laughed maniacally. "Oh?" The girl's tone sounded like an amused one. In a blink of an eye, the girl had the man, who was standing at least 10 feet away from her, against the wall by his neck. 'Whoa, she's fast.' "I am more than a match for a mere quarter blood." I heard the girl hissed, releasing the man and pulling the string of her bow back. A nocked arrow appeared on the bow, and the man's face paled as he scrambled to get away, only to be shot in the back three times by the girl. "You are going to hell for those people you murdered." The girl said as her bow disappeared.

I watched as the man's body turned to ashes. "I know you are there, come out from behind the dumpster." I heard the girl say. I cautiously stepped out from behind the dumpster and into the middle of the alleyway. "You have nothing to fear. I am not your enemy. I am an ally." She assured, me, turning around and looking at me. I couldn't help but stare into her eyes, her light icy blue eyes that seem almost to familiar. "You work for or with SHIELD?" I asked, relaxing a bit. "No, they know nothing about me, and I intend on keeping it that way. But, I have a feeling that that is all going to change soon." She said, leaning to one side. "Why'd you kill that guy?" I asked, gesturing to the pile of ashes. "Because, he is no longer a man, but a beast. If I had let him go then your life and that girl Serena's would have been in jeopardy. He was the one that has been killing around town. You best not get into this mess Captain, for I fear it might not end well for you or the girl." And with that, the girl turned around and I saw the wings on her back budge out of her skin and into a pair of pure white angel wings. "I will see you again soon Captain." Then, she flew off.

So many thoughts were going through my mind as I continued my way home, like what she meant by that guy not being a man, or how my life along with Serena's could be in danger, and how she knew me. But what scared me the most was the thought of Serena being in danger. I don't know why, but just the thought of her getting hurt made me hurt in a a way. I'm so protective over her.

"Hey Serena, you still up?" I asked after I walked into the house and locked the door. "Huh? Oh yeah. Why?" I heard her reply. I walked into the living room and see her on the couch all wrapped up in a blanket. "Thought you were going to bed." I said, going to the kitchen and getting myself a glass of water. "Yeah I slept for about 3 hours, woke up, oh," she pulled her hand out of the blanket, holding out a packet and a small black rectangular box, "This is for you. I've read over it already. Don't worry, they gave me permission." I sat down next to her and took of the file and box from her. "What's the box?" I asked, holding it up. It was about half an inch thick and half the size of my palm. "It's a tablet, here," she scooted closer to me, "You push this button here," her finger pointed at the button at the side of the cube, "Push it Steve." I did what she told me and the cube broke up into four pieces and formed like a screen about the size of a piece of paper. "Now here," she pointed to a box on the screen that had the word A on it, "Are the profiles of your team members. This," She pointed to another box that had M on it, "Is where you get your missions and the details for it and such. This," she pointed to the third box that had an L on it, "Is where you will log things like mission progress and such. Lastly, this," she pointed at the box in the lower right corner marked C, "Is just like a chat room, contact anyone you want and shoot them like a message and such."

After she was done explaining, I let the information set into my mind. I started exploring the tablet after a little while to get a better understanding of it as the memory of what happened in the alleyway lingered in my mind. 'Maybe Serena would know something...' "Hey Ser-" I stopped myself when I looked down and saw that she was asleep. I blushed a bit when I realized that she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. Guess I was to busy with my thoughts to feel her head on my shoulder.

I decided to look through SHIELD files to see if there was anything on the angel that I saw in the alleyway, but nothing came up. 'How can she allude Shield? And for how long...'
