02 | An encounter

The bus seat were getting empty and colder by the time it was at it's last four stops. The night were definitely getting colder since Yuna had to snuggle in between her backpack and the coat she wore. Her legs were freezing. She had forgotten to bring her leggings along today as she had woken up late due to her alarm clock not ringing. Dang, it's cold. She muttered under her breath. She blew hot hair into her both palm before rubbing it together. At times like this, Yuna wish for a hot cup of ramyeon to warm her body.

Yuna's stop were getting nearer, she impatiently taps her feet, trying to stay warm.

At the last row of the bus, Yongguk was having a hard time remembering the groceries he had to buy to replenish his almost empty fridge and cabinets. He tilt his head slightly, scratching his nape. Eggs, cheese, kimchi, soy sauce, 2 bottles of mineral water, sausages, ah ofcourse, ramyeon! Yongguk exclaimed at the back of his head. He look around his surrounding, happy to see the familiar neighbourhood.

Yongguk's stop were getting nearer, his hand were tucked into his hoodie's pocket. His mind trying to memorize the list of things he needs to buy at the convenience store. His feet were tapping at the same beat as his music.

Ding~ The bus were coming to a stop.

Both of the lonely souls rushing to the exit, excited to get off the cold bus.

As the bus came to a rough stop, Yongguk had accidently pushed Yuna.

Yuna eyes widen at the sudden movement.

Yongguk too, but quickly bowed and mouth "Sorry".

Knowing that it wasnt the guy's fault, Yuna smiled and shook her head and gesture with her hand, telling him it's alright. And Yongguk gave an apologetic smile in return.

The door of the bus slide open and both of them alighted the bus in hurry and rushed to their next destination.

Yuna grab two of her favourite Shin ramyeon and a triangular kimbap before proceeding to check out. After she had payed for her late night snacks, she went to the side of the the store and filled her ramyeon with hot water.

It wasnt a good ten minutes, Yuna had already inhaled both of her ramyeon. Though it felt like seconds, she was satisfied that the ramyeon had warmed her insides as well as her soul. Yuna pulled out her phone from her pocket for a time check. 4 November, 12:30AM. Ah, it's late. Making sure she had dispose her trash properly, Yuna grab her kimbap and head home.

At the end of the road, an almost broken led light display were blinking, "TS Convenience Store". Yongguk stepped into the warm heated store, a ding sound was produced. He grabbed the basket at the side and started going down the aisle and putting his necessities into the green basket. As he reached the instant noodles aisle, his eyes widen and had a spark on them. There were different kinds of ramyeon that is being displayed at the shelves; cheese ramyeon, the famous spicy bul-dak-bokk-eum-myeon, neoguri spicy seafood and his favourite, shin ramyeon. He put atleast five packs of his heaven gifted round ramyeon into his basket.

With hands full of groceries bag, Yongguk softly raps to a song that his friends and he had composed which titled, Take You There.

"Because you are too bright ay~"

Yongguk then stop in his track.

Eggs, cheese, kimchi, soy sauce, water, ramyeon, eggs, cheese, kimchi, soy sauce, water, ramyeon. He repeatedly say the words in his head.

The bus came to sudden halt, Yongguk who was obviously, heavier than a dumb-bell couldnt even hold himself and let himself bump into someone who has a smaller body frame. For once, he thought she was going to fly but thank god, her reflex were faster than a running machine. Yongguk heave a sigh of relief but quickly changed into a panic mode when he saw a displeased look in her face. His mind went blank and thought of all sort of possible scenarios like those korean dramas where the girl turns out to be an underground gangster? He shook his thoughts away and quickly bowed to her apologetically. She returned him with a smile and a gesture of "it's okay".

Although he had seen her smile a few times during his bus rides, he always keep in mind that dont judge it's book by it's cover. However after he had encounter her himself, Yongguk felt that she is a nice, warm person. And what caught his attention again is her smile. When her lips formed a curve and displayed a polite yet addicting smile. A smile that would heal almost anything.

Yongguk smiled to himself at the flashback and continued walking to his apartment.

Yuna had a nice warm shower. She plopped herself down on her bed and scroll through her soundcloud for the lastest music updates. Her mind wondered off to her encounter today, where a guy who she had seen a few times on her usual bus rides had bumped into her due to the sudden stop. Her first impression of the guy were rather scary. He always wears a black hoodie and there's one time where she had to stand right next to him during peak hours, his music were blasting some kind of heavy rock metal. And as of his expression, he always had a dark, grumpy look like a gangster, always dull. But today's encounter changed everything. The guy actually had a nice gummy smile and took the initiative to quickly apologize after accidently bumped into her. His gummy smile.......

Yuna dozed off to sleep with that thought. She was so tired but she learned something about the guy she had always shared the bus with.

Like that, both of them had shared a moment together and learned a thing about each other who shares the same roof after a long day at school/work.
