For tears there is no recompense
That comes without a cost
Atoning isn't easy
But without it, friendship lost
An insincere apology
Will not forgive a wrong
If you're to be forgiven
You must sing repentence' song
A happy morning will not dawn
Without the sun's sweet rays
The darkest beams of sorrow
Lead to all the brightest days
And so, if you'll forgive my tears
I will forgive your sin
We'll put the past behind us
And let friendship come back in
