    My Soul's True Expression

    In times of anguish
    
                          
    Of grief and of pain
    
                          
    I sit in the storm
    
                          
    And storm in my brain
    
                          
    When life throws it rocks
    
                          
    Of trouble and sin
    
                          
    When I'm at my peak
    
                          
    No clouds keep me in
    
                          
    I'm a tempest of thinking
    
                          
    Thoughts swirling around
    
                          
    Soon they become words
    
                          
    And my stanzas are found
    
                          
    I'm a writer, a dreamer
    
                          
    A poet at heart
    
                          
    Give me inspiration
    
                          
    And then I can start
    
                          
    I'll give you a work
    
                          
    My soul's precious song
    
                          
    Keep it with you forever 
    
                          
    And you will be strong
    
                          
    I pray you'll remember
    
                          
    That when life gets tough
    
                          
    Just sing a sweet poem
