I stepped out of my moms car a waved. She smiled at me and drove away. I turned around and walked up the high school steps. This was my first year at this school as a sophomore because I have recently moved to New Jersey from Colorado. Why? Same reason as all the movies. Parent 1 gets a better offer on a job in another state and parent 2 goes all with it. Then parents one and two don't tell the kids until a couple of weeks before the move. Then children 1 and 2 scramble to say goodbye to all of their friends before they leave.
Walking through the front doors and to my locker I notice a group of girls next to mine. They are all wearing the same color and judging from the way the are talking and how expensive their clothes look , I can tell that they're popular. Great. I quickly open my locker grab my books and walk to my first class. Which to my relief is science.
As I'm walking down the hall someone steps in front of me and knocks all of my books onto the ground. Great.
"Hey whatch where you're hoping!" I say.
"Sorry!" He says.
I bend down to pick up my books and he does the same. After I stand up I get a good look at him. He has soft brown eyes, black hair and a sharp jawline. He's really cute you think to yourself.
" Sorry again, my name is Gerard." He says, "Y/N"
"what class are you going to?" Gerard asks.
"Biology"
"So am I! I'll walk with you, if that's alright." He smiles.
"Cool with me," You answer. Butterflies fly through your stomach.He has really cute smile. I hope that we can be friends, you think to your self.
You walk together to the biology room.
