"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family he's rich" ~ Dan Wilcox

It was a early Saturday morning, and was going to be a long yet exciting day for the Smiths.

Gregory Smith rolled over in his luxurious king sized bed and looked over at his beautiful wife Brenda, whom he always thought reassembled Vanessa Willams.

He couldn't help but admire, his wife of twenty- one years, starting from her beautiful glowing light skin, long brown hair, and even though her eye lids were close, he knew hidden behind them where

beautiful eyes the color of emerald.

Gregory was so busy admiring his wife that he had not even realized that she had woken up and was staring back at him.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." Gregory, Greg for short laughed at his wife's cocky comment. "Women a camera could do know justice to your beauty" .

"Hahaha, how flattering of you, but I know I'm looking some types of rough right about now" Brenda stated.

Greg had seen this women in ever way that a women could be seen, and till this day he could never understand why his wife felt insecure about the way she looked in the morning.

As a matter of fact he actually found her wild morning look to be kind of sexy. " I don't know how many times I have to tell you that you look beautiful women..... now that morning breath of yours is a whole another story" said Greg.

Brenda couldn't help but laugh at her husbands remarks, but new he was only half joking about it, so she decided to go brush her teeth.

" So todays the big day, how are you feeling?" Brenda asked over the running water.

" I'm as ready as I can ever be, but I have to say that I'm the most excited about getting to see my baby girls today." Greg said getting out og the bed to go look through his huge walk-in closet for a suit to wear.

He admired his three daughters, and it had been almost a year since he had seen them due to the fact that they had family's and lives of their own." Greg how many times do I have to tell you that they are not your baby's anymore. They are grown women" Brenda stated.

" I know, but it seems like just yesterday I took Devin to her first piano lesson, helped Cassy with her science projects, and watched Korey cheering at all those football games."

Gregory stated reminiscing on moments with his girls. "Yeah I know what you mean, we raised some pretty successful girls, even though I still have my doubts about Kor.." " Brenda don't you dare even finish that sentence. Now that is enough of you bad mouthing our baby girl, and I certainly don't want to hear you nagging when she gets here. Do you understand me?"

It took Brenda a minute to grasp what her husband was saying. I mean could she honestly keep her mouth shut long enough, and not fight with Korey?

Don't get her wrong Brenda loved Korey, it was just she wished her daughter had chosen a different path for herself. I mean take her oldest daughter Devin for instance.

She was married and had two beautiful children with a rich banker for a husband, and following in her fathers foot steps had became a lawyer, and Cassy whom was a doctor, currently pregnant and married herself. If it were not for Greg sometimes Brenda wonders were Korey would be in life .

To Brenda, Korey was just a spoiled daddy's girl, and for some reason Greg had no problem feeding into her.The only good thing about her was the fact that she had gotten married to Thomas Hopkins the owner of the San Diego Grizzles.

" Brenda I will not ask again. Do you understand me?" Gregory asked this time a little more stern. After taking a heavy sigh Brenda finally gave in. " Yes I understand you, but Greg how do we even know she will come?I mean we see her husband James more than we even see our own daughter. You haven't seen

her in almost a year ."

Brenda said trying to state facts to her husbands. " Well I don't know about WE, but I have faith in my baby girl, and I know she will be here OK, so I don't wanna hear know more about you doubting Korey."

Throwing her hands up in surrender Brenda decided to let it go. " Alright, whatever you say Mr. Governor."

Greg walked over to his wife and wrapped his arms around her giving her a kiss on the forehead, followed by her nose, then lips. " Don't start nothing you cant handle Mr. Smith." Brenda said.

" Oh trust I finish everything I start." Gregory stated as he attempted to pull his wife's night gown off. "Negro stop it, besides you need to to hurry up and get ready for the girls, and the grand kids, they should be here In a few hours." Brenda said as she shooed him off.

"Alright fine, but we will finish this later" he stated slapping his wife's plump butt" You are a mess, but seriously I am excited to see the twins, I miss those little rascals so much!" Brenda stated with so much joy. " Yea, I cant wait to spend some time with them, which reminds me I'm going to have to meet you all at the conference."

"Ohh, why?" Brenda asked a little skeptical. " Well Dean and I have to meet to discuss some of the security aspects for the big event today" Greg said off the top of his head.

" Oh and I meant to ask you, what took you so long to get home last night?" Brenda asked Greg. He tensed up a little bit as he stood in front on the mirror fixing his tie.

" Uhhh, you know just doing some last minute stuff for the big press conference today." Greg said with a half smile. " Oh ok", Brenda said, and Greg was relieved that she decided not to question him any further, but little did Gregory Smith Know.
