I opened my mouth to answer but Hector told me to be quiet.

"We'll explain when we get there, mom!" He said

I walked towards the staircase and went downstairs with Hector behind me, and when we got there, all of our family members where already seated at the table.

"Well, Hector, Rebecca, can you two please explain why you weren't at the table when you were called?" Aunt Pearl asked

Hector opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off.

"We were just playing video games." I said casually, "and closed the door so that our game wouldn't be interrupted.."

He glared at me while I just smirked at him.

Ha! Payback time!!

"Ah, well, that made a lot of sense.." She said "Please join us."

Since we came down last, I took a seat next to Hector. We grunted at the same time as we sat down.

While everyone continued their dinner and talked, Hector leaned to my ear and hissed, "Did you do this on purpose?"

"No, why would I?" I hissed back

"Because you stubbornly wasted our time by ranting nonstop!"

I scoffed, "ME?! You're the one who pulled me in your bedroom!"

Tsk...Tsk....'pulled.....in his bedroom'..., a voice in my head said seductively

SHUT UP! How old are you, 18?!?!?!I shot back

"So what?!" He huffed

"What do you mean 'So what'? I didn't do it on purpose because you star--"

I was cut off by someone who cleared his/her throat, loudly.

"Um...Is there something we should know about?" My mom asked

We flinched in surprise and looked at her directly.

"No, Mrs. Roosevelt." Hector replied

"B-But--"

"I'm sure there's nothing to get worried about, right, Mariella?" Aunt Pearl asked "After all, they're just trying to get along.." Then she sort of winked

My mom looked at her, confused then she her lips formed with an 'O' shape.

"I see, I was just..confused." My mom said

We sighed in relief, and ate in silence. After dinner, we decided to play a board game in the living room.

"But what kind of board game?" I asked

"Hmm.." Mr. Harrington mumbled

"How about Game of Life?" "No, Monopoly!" "Scrabble, is the best!" "Chess, Chess!!" My sisters, along with Hector's siblings, suggested excitedly

"Why not Cluedo: Discover the Secrets?" Hector and I asked simultaneously

Oh...Fate is so cruel, today.

"Alright, why not?" Aunt Pearl said "Get the board game at my room, upstairs, it's the first door on the right."

"Yes, Aunt Pearl." "Yes, mom." we said simultaneously

We walked upstairs and headed towards the light beige door. As I opened it, we gasped in surprise..It was not the parents' bedroom we had in mind.

The room was painted blue green, with paintings on the wall. To my left is a wooden bed painted dark brown, with white and black pillows, blanket and covers. Next to it is a wooden mahogany nightstand, with a lamp shade on top of it.
