Introduction

Levi Ackerman was the number one investigator on the east coast. He could solve case after case. Murders, kidnappings, robberies, you name it, he could solve it. He knew right from the start his job was no picnic. It was dangerous. He could very easily become a target, or very easily be killed. With every case came a price.
For example, blood had to be spilled more times than not. As messy as his job was, it paid the bills. He and his wife, Hanji, were happy together. They had a nice home and a nice life together. They were both young. Levi 25 and Hanji 23. When Levi started his career Hanji knew the risks, but she was willing to support him anyway. Levi knew the risks. A price had to be paid. But he never expected Hanji to be the payment.
